You forgot to mention a very important thing in Return to Karazhan portion. After you kill Moroes make sure to pick up the keys on the ground. Otherwise the door to get to Custodian will be locked and you will have to go back to pick up the keys and likely to run out of time and fail this run.

You can also get 6 mounts from the garrison stables dailies in WoD and 2 achievement mounts when you capture/train all of the animals involved in the dailies. It can take a few weeks to complete, but if you're going for mount collection achievements 8 mounts from easy dailies is really nice.

A little tip: Each class mount from Legion counts towards your achievement, even though you can't use it on all characters. And since some classes get multiple mounts (rogue, pala, lock, hunter, mage if I remember correctly), this will give you around 30-40 mounts counting towards the achievement, and it's somewhat easy/fun to do if you have the characters leveled. The same goes for some opposite faction mounts, such as the allied race mounts and the vendor mounts you can buy for being exalted with BFA factions. If you're going for the 400 mount achievement, these add so much to that achievement (around 50 or so).

@@Aerawave It's definately true :) I'm an altoholic, so it was easy to take advantage of to reach my 400 mount achievement. The same goes for allied race mounts for horde and alliance, as well as the BFA exalted rep mounts for both factions. Even though I can't use many of those on my Alliance char, they still count towards the achievement on that char, just by unlocking it on a Horde alt.

A couple of notes: Handy Notes (the Addon) has a number of different plug-ins that help with some of these, namely the Forgotten Hyppogryph spawn points for the crystals. The addon with this plugin shows handy little Crystal icons on your map wherever spawn points are, and un like TomTom, they don't disappear once you've flown over them, making it alot easier and faster to just do several laps of Azsuna until you've gotten all 5 crystals.

The sea horse can also be used underwater in other areas and if you add it to your favorites list you can hot key summon random favorite mount from the mounts tab and it will automatically put you on the sea horse for faster swim speed underwater even if you have other mounts in your favorites... handy at times.

I've been playing since 2004 - but I only play solo. That means that I never did any of the Cata dungeons. Nice little guide. I was going for the Kara mount today and accidently had a brain fart and went to Morose before Maiden and messed up my timer. Oh well i'll get it next week, lol. Going to check out the Warlords rare spawns. Picked up the Riddler's Mind-Worm earlier today. Kindof a pain in the butt traveling around, going through old raids, etc. but incredibly easy on a 120.

As an update I did eventually get the Smoldering Ember Wyrm. Took a few runs. Some guildies and I knocked it out running alts, etc. pretty fast and got the drop for several of us.

Yeah. It's sooo much easier to get now though. I got it at item level 385 or something like that when that was the best i could get without raiding. Now all the bosses are just cakewalks. Except for that godawful sea gull. That sea gull fight is forever ingrained in my memories now. That one fight took me like 2 weeks to actually succeed at.

There are other alpacas - elusive quickhoof in Voldun (near temple of Akunda, you feed him once and you got him - I had first day of patch, because I wanted black alpaca :D) and other may drop from big skeletal dino in Voldun too, Kraulok. Elusive quickhoof is easiest. And there is Nazjatar blood serpent - secret mount from Stormsong Valley, also easy to get.

I had looked at all of those and decided not to include them. Elusive Quickhoof mob is not as easy to find as the Springfur Alpaca mob, and Mollie is like a 1% drop chance. Also Nazjatar Blood Serpent is really challenging to get - you need to collect rare fragments, or buy them off the AH, and when I made the video, each one was like 3-5k a pop. 1.8k (current AH price on Emerald Dream) is still a stretch for a lot of people if you need 20 of them. Unless you know of some easier way to acquire them? Thanks for your input!

Thx =) Did the riddler after watching this. thing i struggled with was to find the exact coords (yes im using tom.tom) but it was possible^^ so i have one suggestion just to make it even easier for thoose who are as naab as me. If u just open map for 1 sec to just get a glimts of where u r in the zone that would make it alot easier to pinpoint roughly where it is, and after that go by coords. This is what came to my mind. Just in case anyone is looking for this mount today, the current Uldum (BFA) is now corrupted by N'zoth. The note will NOT be at the location! However, if you talk to Zidormi in Ramkahen (she is highlighted by a light from above) and speak to her about "Can you show me Uldum during the Cataclysm?" She will transport you back and then you can find the note at 70, 78!

There are two nearly identical caves for Orb 8. You might be tempted to enter the hole that is uncovered by foliage but this is wrong. There is a cave covered hidden just as the others between rocks, trees, roots, and bushes. I write this because I nearly submitted a ticket when I thought I had entered the correct cave because the mushrooms and the bushes looked exact, only there was no orb. Glad it is not bugged.

Can you do multiple expansions on one or more characters?? Like say 3 expansions or more? I haven’t played since vanilla and only ever made it to level 25 back then so I want to experience a lot of the expansions/mounts/ armor sets/dungeons/raids etc I missed - example: can you play legion after shadowlands?? Than say classic? And so on?

yes for every version of the game except for vanilla. they overhauled the game for Cata and I think they did it again at a later time too... But anything in TBC, WotLK, Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion, BfA are still in tact. Level scaling also makes this work a lot easier too!

Thanks for video. Though I stop playing wow back just after Panda came out, and first start playing wow back from original wow patch 1.1/.1.2. Upto Panda, but end up quitting cuz how bad they butchered skill/talent points and many veterans i use to know who been playing since day one. Also just randomly quit. BC was still and always be mu fav, though cata was decent too. if ever do return to wow. I know I’d be very very lost with low lvl 80 toons and look like a noob hahh, but i will add this video to my fav if I ever return. ::).only other reason is get dx12 for Windows 7 lol. Fathom Dweller - this is on the OUTDOOR version of Eye of Azshara (south of Dalaran), NOT the dungeon in Azsuna. I was wondering how you were able to fly & why I kept getting one-shot by sharks even at lvl 120! Otherwise excellent guide

i believe so, but i haven't tested this. i think in the background the secret mount progression functionally just counts as quest completion. So it should be fine.

I enjoyed this video very much. I will most likely play along with the video when I am home from work. :-) I am close to getting the 150 mount achievement and these will help a lot. I wish the drop rate was a bit better though for ones like Onoxia I know I probably spelled it wrong. I have been trying to get the drake mount achievement and the emerald drake. Also been trying to get the Phoenix one from the Nether in Outlands.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem with the Smoldering Ember Wyrm? I got it on my 1st try quite a while back a few weeks afterward my brother and I ran it and it didn't drop for him, we tried again when it reset and it still didn't drop for him so we kinda forgot about. When we went back there (not long before the patch that introduced the Vulpera & Mechagnomes) to finish up a quest we had there we thought we'd try again for the mount as well... However we keep spawning in just past the curator and if we go back into that his room he immediately attacks us so we can't even attempt it anymore (if we kill him the crystal drops but we can't interact with it yet and it's despawned if we run back to the start to do them in order.

This happened on one of the attempts I had with my party, and I assumed it wasn't a regular thing. I looked it up and, according to this post: us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/return-to-karazhan-mythic-spawns-you-in-upper-kara/411922 It seems this was fixed 02/20/2020. Have you tried recently?
