Your van is Beautiful! Very creative! I think the easiest toilet is the 3 1/2 gallon bucket , lined with 2 bags, & cat litter. For a shower a brand new hand held bug/weed sprayer. Thanks for the video! Safe travels!

A luggable Lou-about $25; a funnel into a jug for pee, and trash bags in back of it with pine pellets or cedar chips for poop. Add a couple handfuls of pellets when you go, and you should have minimal odors!

@@courtneyinwanderlust I'd go with the Luggable Loo. I've heard good things about it....whether you separate the pee into jug or not. The separating does stop the odors, though. Or keep to a bare minimum.

Walmart has 5 gallon buckets for 2.48. Then in hunting camping section a lidded toilet seat that mafd to snap on tightly, to 5 gallon bucket. I use scented trash bags and pine or cedar shavings for number 1 and 2. Then I tie bag up ( when on road ). I dispose of those as you would a baby diaper. Trash it. If you have to store those without smell, a one gallon zip lick bag will hold a few of your small trash bags. I hope this helps you of anyone.

Literally as soon as I saw the video title and thumbnail, internally I screamed “Oh my gosh, FINALLY! Where has this video been hiding?!?!” Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been seriously trying to figure out how I can do camper/van life for a year now but I’m perpetually broke and don’t want to do a ton of building, if any. This is my dream setup! And I’ve been eyeing that table at the store for months!! Great video!!

Thank you for watching! I know my van is very rudimentary compared to so many "camper vans" out there, but it is so doable and I am so comfortable in it...when it's not 105 degrees outside, lol! If I can do it, you can too. Hope all your camper van dreams come true 🩵

As kids driving across country, my dad stopped for no one! Mom always had a red Folgers coffee can and she would store the toilet paper in there. If it was a #2 we usually stopped at a gas station. There were those times where 2 came.😂 So we learned how fast to grab the can. If you're not that handy though and need to sit for awhile then Menards carries a half bucket. It's 2.5 gallons instead of 5 it should fit right under the bed. I've seen lids you could attach but just how comfortable you want to be on your thrown is up to you. Spray paint it teal and put a nice cushion on it and make it a chair! Then, you can sit next to your table. No one but you will know.😅 I love your color scheme! It looks beautiful. Not sure if you'll be camping much but if you do you will need a little stove top to plug in or propane unless your mostly eat raw fruits and veggies. Then the cooler is just fine. And a small pot and pan. All can fit under your bed. Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to clean them when your done cooking. I prefer cast iron. Easy to clean with paper towels. Depending on your level of camp and go a jug or two of water is essential in my book. We also take a bag of tools. Hubby does on all trips in case we break down. You never know. If your a member of AAA then, great keep the phone number handy in the glove box and a tire repair kit should be a must. Stuff your pillow cases with your clothes or jackets. Easy to find and makes them more stable. Have a great journey.

Nice and simple. The beauty of this design is that you can easily reverse the process in minutes if you ever want to sell the van as a cargo van. We drive a class B Travato but helping my son with his NV200 conversion like yours. He has a portable fold down toilet, and we installed a solar panel on top that charges a Jackery inside for his electronics.

Keeping clutter down is easier when you are not actually living out of the vehicle. Part of me wants to embrace the simplicity and minimalism of living out of an RV but I know if I were to live out of it, with four pets, I would need something fairly large. When I go camping I have a small travel trailer and it is more than big enough 😊

That is adorable, you did great. You can add things as you travel if you find things you like/want. A cassette toilet you would still have to have somewhere to go dump it or even have to dig a hole I forget how deep it has to be to dump it into the ground. Number one they say you could pour it on trees around the base because it helps it grow however number to you have to bury. Cassettes toilets do not separate number one and number two. A bucket and a Lucy Lu top that has a lid you can pour whatever you want to use at the bottom and you can also separate your number one and number two yourself. You can use the bucket for number two and any kind of container that you're able to go number 1 in and cap it. If you mix those two that's what makes it smell. And once you got it tied up you can throw it in any trash receptacle. Now the other ones the composting toilets, those are very expensive. I have used the bucket system at home when my bathroom was not functional and I had no problem with it. I believe it's called Lucy Liu you can buy that at Walmart for $11 ish that'll fit on a 5 gallon bucket and has a seat and a lid. You can buy the buckets at Home Depot or Lowe's excetera. You can also use a pool noodle, cut a slit to fit onto the bucket and over the bag to hold it in. Take the pool noodle off and they have lids for those buckets that screws on that keeps it from smelling.

Luggable Loo, Eco Gel and bio degradable bags is going to be the easiest toilet to bring with you. Cassette toilets are only great for RVs designed to contain them, in a small van it will be too easy to have a poo/pee spill or explosion from the pressure that builds up in them. Eventually you're going to want to decide on how to insulate the bare metal because the summers are going to be way more uncomfortable than winters. I love your beautiful festive colors and I got the Coleman cot too!

There a lot of van life. Get either a five gallon or small pail with a sealing lid, for smell issues. Use saw dust or horse pellets. I use saw dust for my cat and it cut the smell to almost gone. Use a bag and put into a ziplock bag to throw away. If it's small enough, you can hide it in a storage ottomon.

You can get a 5 gallon bucket that has a toilet lid attached and you can buy liners that are biodegradable I believe and you just use that for emergency and tie it up and throw it away. It should not be mixed with urine so you would need a container for that. 20:20

I love the colours and simplicity. So many van vids have EVERYTHING, and if I had to live in my vehicle for any reason I always think of how I'd never fit enough in to make it liveable, but this looks doable , clothing could be put into the cushions, the top of a fridge/cooler could be used as a place to heat water or cook up a meal, under the bed there's room for tubs or storage boxes for all the essentials. If there's not enough room for all the gear, there's always roof storage pods :) All is needed IMO would be a decent fan/heater, screens to keep the bugs out & a power source for charging devices....... BUT it's stuff that can be added as needed because this would be a place to sleep, a place to store personal items & room to move around, and it's a beautiful colour scheme, it makes it look fresh ,calm & inviting. I love it more than I have others I've seen that are decked out with literally everything. Well done :)

We bought a Coleman toilet they are small enough to maybe fit under your bed in the camper and they flush like a regular toilet you fill them with toilet stuff buy at Walmart and use rv toilet tissue and once they full you can flush it down a regular toilet or at a campsite dumping area we love ours I am a big sized woman and it worked great for me. So anyone can use it. And it was like 50. Dollars might be more now this was years ago

It looks very nice. There are a lot of videos on building you own camper van some of the no builds, like yours. I have watched many although I don't have any immediate plans to do it. I think what works for you in your vehicle may be different in someone elses. But we can get a modge of solutions from each one and incorporate it into our own situation. I know a lot of people are using the bucket system for a toilet or composting ones. What I learned recently is that some get a type of pellet or horse bedding that is made with pine and it expands as it gets wet and last a very long time with no odors. It is at Tractor Supply and I think it comes in 40 lb. bags. Then I gues you could always bury it in a boon docking situation. Either way it sounds like something better than cat litter, natural and easy to find. Just thought I'd share what I learned in case you want to try that route. Look forward to watching more of your videos.

I part-time car camp in my car and that happened by accident. Don't let the pretty vans put you off, go out and use what you have, or stay stagnant. Those are the choices, and for me that wasn't a option. Part-time solo female car camper. Next for you, power station or a really good power bank. Never be without a phone with battery life. 🇬🇧

I never ever watched those kind of van videos they are more like some kind of reality TV show im not really interested glamorous lifestyles of the rich. 30k there's nothing compared to what some of these people spend well over 100,000 for these extravagant builds.. in I'm more interested in how people put their budget friendly no builds together what kind of gear they use and creative solutions to maximize the minimum space of a minivan .. the more money you save on your setup the more money you have to maintain your vehicle and travel places and have experiences. Not only that to minimize clutter and decrease the weight of your vehicle better performance better gas mileage less wear and tear

I have a 2009 caravan no build of course we don't have space for Hi-Tech bathroom solutions in the minivan lol mostly I stay places where there is access to a bathroom but I fill up quart size freezer bags with kitty litter inside 12-ounce coffee can in case I have to pee in the middle of the night I can do that in the van. Seal the bag protected inside the sealed can disposed of at first possible moment... Now for the other situation I had originally bought one of those toilet seats that fits on top of a 5-gallon bucket I never bought the five gallon bucket because I quickly figured out I don't have a good place to store a 5-gallon bucket inside my van I had this little wire trash can I bought one of those foam pool noodles cut it up to line the rim of the little trash can with the bag inside of it as an emergency toilet I had to use it once trust me it worked lol... Also to eventually you will want one of those little foldable spade shovels out in the Deep woods you can always dig a hole lol I have one of those little shovels it comes in handy for all kinds of things... Sorry to ramble on this is all in appreciation and inspiration from your awesome van no build !! If you were to put a swivel on your passenger seat, you could use that as your chair...and the toilet situation could be a simple 3 galon bucket with a toilet seat you purchase from wally world along with wood chips/horse pellets or you could try the stuff they putina bed pan to make your liquid turn to a gel and that doesnt weigh much like the other stuff i mentioned. Great video and tha ks for sharing with us. Have a blessed day. 🌴

I use a bucket with pipe foam for seat and have another bucket with gamma lid for trash and waste bags until I find a place throw it all away. The bucket toilet can be used for other things as well, storage , shower water , collecting wood . How do you like your Nissan ? Have you had any problems with it mechanically ? I’m undecided between that type van of a minivan. I’m car camping now so either of them will be a huge upgrade for me. I hope you’re enjoying your travels !

Those are great ideas! I finally ended up finding a fairly cheap collapsible toilet and I'm pretty happy with it! I'm loving my Nissan so far...no issues as of yet and I bought it with 90,000 miles already on it. She's going strong 💪! Happy travels to you! 🚐💨

I have seen people use an Igloo drink cooler that has the spout. Get a toilet seat lid. Maybe in camping section or potty chairs for kids. Put double bag inside and put some Kitty litter or pine pellets in bottom of bag. You can put the lid on securely and dispose of bag when necessary

"No Build" is the way to go. I would cover all ex posed metal parts with insulation of some sort. I have slept on camping cots in my bedroom at home for years.

Great simple build, it's good to see how the coleman fits in the nv200 *just need a portable toilet, a jackery, and a mini fridge like a Dometic or similar

Dometics are nice but terribly expensive.. Bob Wells has a great video on some of the newer brands that are way cheaper. I bought TMPC40F0... I know right lol crazy brand name there but it came with the insulated thermal cover I've had it two years now and it's been working great I think I paid 250 for the 20 Litre with insulated cover. But there are dozens of cheaper options now.. do your research read the reviews but a lot of people are having good luck with the cheaper brands

Yep, it doesn't have to be more complicated for fair weather camping a few nights. I am planning a little more "build" with insulation, heater and a small electrical setup, but still in a NV and a budget build, but until I have time to do that, I will travel with a setup like your.

Awesome! Yes, with my set-up, I'm kind of going to have to chase that fair weather, but it sounds like you're going to have a real nice set up for more flexibility! I'm looking forward to future improvements in mine. Safe travels to you!!
