Oh, girl! I'm so glad you're okay. The night I got home from my summer van trip, I fell flat on my a$$ getting out of my van, too! I stepped on the ground wrong, turned my ankle, and down I went. But like you I'm a tough old broad, so i'm fine, too. What a cool dishwashing hack! I'm going to have to try that. I like your idea of making up a jar ahead of time for soap and another with vinegar water. That'd be way easier than the spray bottles. I used those and they're a real pita. (Also, your fingernails are beautiful.❤)

I wanted to let you know in the makeup section of dollar tree I found what they are calling “small travel facial cloths” from sassy & chic. They are like the ones you used but expand to 10 X 10 with water, you get15 for $1.25 which isn’t a great deal but in a pinch if you run out it would be nice. Individually wrapped also. I bought a couple packs to try. I have the ones you have.

Thanks for the ideas, Meena. While I no longer have a van to travel in - and probably shouldn't be driving anyway at 79 - I still like to gather plans for how to cope in a grid down situation for instance. Your tutorials translate for that. Since I don't live anywhere near a dollar store that carries those compressed towels though, I keep a lot of babywipes on hand for various tasks and also fortify them with isopropyl alcohol. I hope if the need ever arises, I could use those to wash dishes? Seems like the alcohol would evaporate. What do you think?

Hey there! 👋🏽 The compressed towels can be ordered from Amazon. I think the baby wipes would depend on what type. Maybe the sensitive ones would work since they are supposed to free from harsh chemicals.

Thank you! I have traveled some and find that Walmarts that allow it are great. Then Cracker Barrel would be great because there are usually other campers there as well. Love's truck stop is good and they have an app so you can easily find a location. I also mapped Planet Fitness in 5 states so I could shower and park there.
