Seyi Use clear builder gel! I use a bottle builder gel. It helped me grow out my natural nails. They got so long I had to cut them back!

Hi Tabytha.....I have a question for you.....do you prefer to use gel mostly for building your nails or do you still use acrylic from time to time? Also, when applying the nail tip, would you want to clip down the original nail as close to the nail bed as you can before you lay down the nail tip? Your advice would be greatly appreciated! She stated a rubber base gel gives the best adhesion between natural and product (gel and acrylic). She's only used the gel bottle inc, to my knowledge; however, there may be other quality brands on the market.

ladyinmauve Yes, I’ve heard a lot of nail techs rave about the Gel Bottle Inc brand, in particular their rubber base coat, so it most definitely makes sense why she used the product. Just curious about mixing a gel base and applying acrylic on top. I figured maybe with the inhibition layer they wouldn’t mix well, or maybe the gel layer would have to be buffed before applying acrylic? But I could be over complicating things lol

@@alessandrainc4748 she dosen't remove the inhibition layer. I don't think you're over complicating; you just don't want to make any drastic mistakes especially on a paying client. Lol. I totally understand. Remember we learn by mistakes. Give it a try and see what happens😊.
