Oh wow, love this tutorial. I have wanted to try painting on fabric for ages and this is just what I needed to get me started, I am no artist but this technique suits me perfectly. Great way to use up scraps, I can see so many uses for these painted backgrounds. Many thanks 🥰🤩🫶

Susan, what a fantastic tutorial!! I've watched you paint fabrics prior, and its always a learning adventure. I especially loved your technique of using the cheese cloth to mop up and blend! I totally can't wait to try this delicious technique out! Wondering how easy is it to stitch on after the paint has dried? Thank you for this share!

Thank you. This fabric is what I was stitching on in the previous (slightly whiny ) video. It's textile paint and it has been diluted with all that water and it's nice to stitch on. It doesn't change the hand of the fabric a lot. If you want to use something like acrylic paint I like to use a lot A LOT of fabric medium to keep it soft.

👍 #122 Hello my friend, what a disaster! I had wrote a long post out whilst watching the video and the video ended and disappeared, as did my post as i was about to post it, grrrrr.... lol, typical. Anyway, i have stencilled and painted various things on walls, doors, even pottery, but not fabrics, so this was of interest. Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial, demonstrating one of your many skills. 👍◕‿◕

Pleased to hear/see you talk about not storing expensive paints I didn't that and was so disappointed they dried before I got to use them I've tried to revive them but they all bone dry and didn't soften even with some gel medium So from now won't store them will use them hehe!!!!
