@@heidigaga Using the proper paint for the type of surface you're painting on. Leather shoes=leather paint, fabric shoe=fabric paint, etc.. And then a nice flexible sealant to preserve

Love these! You can clean the white soles of the sandals with a mr clean magic eraser and they'll look brand new!

My 1 yo says "tadaa" (or "tataa, as he can't pronounce the d) to every duplo tower he has ever created so i think it is our in-build way to say "yay I created something" lol. Simply it would be crime against nature not to.

Would not advise to directly paint over leather shoes unless it's been prepped before hand. Not removing the factory finish (clear glossy layer on most shoes) will result in incomplete binding of the paint, regardless of whether it is meant for leather or not. This will likely lead to terrible cracking after just a couple of wears. You should definitely wipe the shoes with acetone until the gloss is removed then start painting for better results. Also, like other people have commented, it's a good idea to use a sealant after you're done painting both for easier cleaning and to protect the paint.
