i downloaded the house but i'm still lost with the dormers in front and to the side. the download is a bit different from the youtube version. i watch your video and stop with each pencil stroke you make a try to duplicate it. the doors and the dormer are killing me. no worries, i'm learning and trying. many thanks for the your vidéo, it's really super i mean it sincerely

Hi Aghwotu, I am doing fine and hope you are too. It is great to hear you are picking up on drawing again and I have a very big list of idea's to choose from. My suggestion is that you pick one that is of your most interest because that way you are most likely to get a satisfying result and I always urge people to do more than one try on a subject to learn from the mistakes you made in the former one. That is the best and fasted way to improve and I still do that as we speak 👍😉✍

Hello Lineke! WOW. Can you share some of them with me? So I've completed the single ladder and ladder in hole in the ground video - two perspective. I think I need more practice though before I can SEE things in two perspectives. Do you have an exercise that helps you see the way you do - your two perspective view. I wonder how do you decide which point do you use to draw certain line..? I know it's either left or right.. I can just try both to see which one is right.. but when you're doing fast sketch to show people idea.. you won't always have time to try the point..

often there are more than on point for dissapearing. One that is in front of you that sucks in the lines and two to each side ... ^^ You can read more about it on Wikipedia if you like!

That was very helpful, and I thank you for your efforts! Is that considered one-point perspective, two-point, or what? I find those terms very confusing. If it is one-point, for example, does that mean I am standing right in front of the house, or at the corner where the wing gets added on? And what would two-point perspective then be?

You sound European, German? can't quite tell. At any rate I hope you keep posting tutorials. I need to learn better perspective skills, like a house and surrounding plants/flowers . Things that are close like a patio setting is the most challenging for me. I can draw distant perspectives good. I need better skills on things like thumbnail sketches and vignettes.

Very nice lesson, thank you for posting this! I have question about vertical lines in the far distance, which in the photograph I'm using tend to angle inwards as you go upwards (they actually do not appear vertical). Should I draw them this way, or is it better to draw them always straight vertical, like you do in your video?

Thanks Mike!! And what I do when drawing from a picture is keep thru to my perspective rules. So I do not draw in the photo angles but try to draw as I was seeing it with my own eyes.
