I got 12 minutes into the video and you asked me to like and subscribe and I was like "You know what, Ive been using this guys tutorials to make bendy rubberhose animations in cinema4d since I was 5 years old. Maybe its time I should let him know". I loved your tutorial on the marvelous designer cloth (if you only uploaded it sooner I really could've used your help there). Its because of you that I learned all the mograph effectors in Cinema4d. I've been working as a freelance motion designer for a year now and everything I know is because of you. So hey, thanks man! I also did your School of Motion, 3D summit thingy back in the day. Great content, c4d 2023 is looking mighty fine! I hope to see some water simulation or smoke simulation native soon! Blender has this and thats free! ok thx bye

Love this effect! I had a lot of issues getting the wrap to fold the way i wanted, because the Hexahedron geo doesnt seem to be optimal. amazing tutorial as always but somehow I couldn't make the force work, everything there, it's just doing nothing even even on an empty clean project file. I am guessing because of my R26. Hey man, great stuff, thanks for sharing. How did you end up experimenting with the values of the cloth? I noticed that values were pretty unintuitive (I'm a Maya guy) so arriving at 9999, or whatever is unusual to my eye. How did you go about experimenting with values and their hihg-low ranges?

Values in C4D can be kinda wonky (I’ve found every update the values affect simulations differently as maxon tweaks it) so I just max stuff out and see what happens

I tried to use the Dynamic Placement Tool, but it doesn't work. Even I clicked the purple arrow, but it still doesn't work. How can I make it working? I hope you can give any alternatives about this problem. Also, I made the plastic wrap, it didn't work like yours. I mean that It when it's wrapped, it's wrapped up up and down, so it works differently. So is there any alternatives to solve this problem? I'm enjoying your video, actually it is first time to use c4d. I like your explanation videos!

Yeah, since EJ OG’d this wayback when (C4D R19 or 20) also- within his first two minutes of this video explains that he’s RE-doing his original work, to reflect the new techniques available in this latest v of C4D with the new cloth sims capabilities, and if you wanna get really technical about it, Nick and Chris, when they were together at grayscale 4 years ago +/-did one, and Chris in the last 4 seasons of RocketLasso lessons has continued to expand and develop on shrink wrap and even vacuum seal shrink wrap, effects well before Vincent waded into these waters. This written, Vincent is awesome. But perhaps check your facts before you leap to post next time. I mean we’ve probably all been there, too-quik-draw, but still, love first before being all hate-y-hate-y - jus sayin’
