Thank you, thank you, thank you I spent HOURS trying to understand the mechanics of mechanics lol. They never going to check the coasters / buildings, so I had to pay a lot of money doing emergency repairs 😅 This is the only tutorial that mentions that problem, thanks again 😁

I had the same perplexing problem - and ended up just turning them off.

Unfortunately even with setting up schedules, even my mechanics are still refusing to fix things until it becomes an emergency!! There's a bug in the game currently where staff simply aren't doing what they're supposed to. I have shops unstaffed (even after setting up schedules), janitors not emptying bins, mechanics wandering about with 'nothing to do' even though they're scheduled to service equipment and lifeguards abandoning their posts when they're not scheduled for a break. Hoping this all gets fixed in a future update and everything works like it's supposed to!

thanks this will come in handy when the game releases today

This is a BRILLIANT video and you deserve a much bigger audience. I was struggling with the game (the systems are not obvious) and this has changed everything. I'm excited for your next video!

Thanks! I've already recorded the waterpark section, but there's so many bugs right now with the staffing stuff - lifeguards leave their post for no reason, mechanics aren't servicing equipment until it's already beyond the certification and most troubling, guests aren't queuing properly for rides and flumes which really impacts total profit. I think it's best to hold out and re-record that part when core game features are working as intended!

@PlasticSwans Even knowing this and having some strategies to mitigate it is super useful. I was baffled by my mechanics failing to service rides, and didn't know how to schedule because you'd be guessing the necessary frequency - and even where to assign zones to staff members. But having applied your tips to my park, the game is so much more enjoyable (even in it's current state 😐) so thanks again!

oh this is excellent, this is how I like to play and these tips are great to turn a profit - much thanks! edit: I borrowed your fabulous idea for start up facilitates; added some light theming, staff and mechanic buildings and a power generator + distributor - posted onto the workshop 🙂

Glad it was helpful! Start-up blueprints on the workshop are a great way for helping those new to the game too!

Thanks for this but for me id balance looks along with efficiency. So for scenary rather than abuse and pile them actually think about how best to use them. But thats just me! I don't want to even abuse it early game as you mentioned. Doesn't seem in spirit of the game at all

I'm the same when it comes to 'proper' parks, but starting out I loathe the initial setup where you can't do anything because 'money'. How I play, I bank a bunch of cash first then go back and fix it!

thnx for the video, can you post the codes of your food corner and rollercoaster maybe, i want to download them
@PlasticSwansАй бұрын
I'd be too embarrassed to post the coaster! It's a real janky mess (I'm terrible at making them look good) and is purely a 'high prestige' effort!

OMG can you share your pre-made shops block in the Workshop? If so, what's the download code? Thank you!!

Really?? My challenge-mode builds are so basic, but happy to share if it's helpful! I'll get it on the workshop and share the code ASAP

@@PlasticSwans It would be super helpful. Even the wooden coaster, please. I am TERRIBLE at building anything, and pretty much use templates. I cannot get the controls down..... LOL. THANK YOU!!!!! 🙂

After playing pc1 and pz i was really looking forward to this game but its so badly optimised on console atm. Id be surprised if im getting 30fps, its quite laggy and the new ui and pathing feels awkward. Im hoping a patch comes out soon because after an hour i gave up and feel a little robbed by frontier tbh. Staying hopeful but for now this is a bit of a miss for me unfortunately.

That's a shame :( I'm on PC and haven't had any technical issues so far. Game glitches is another story though!

Gatekeeping is not a good look! Not everyone understands how Planet Coaster works. I've got many comments from those picking the game up for the first time and happy I've talked through the basics since the tutorial levels aren't great at this
