I like the way you move right along. As an experienced crocheter I find it frustrating when teachers show every little thing.

I really like the stranding double crochet you start row with

Love this pattern. Your videos made it so clear and easy to follow. I’m using Big Twist Shine in the color Merlot and it’s working up so beautifully. The alternate Standing stitch is a game changer and really makes the edges look so much better. 😊

Thank you so much. Love your tutoring. Thanks for not using annoying music in the background and crystal clear instructions. I was slightly confused about the alternative stitch though. Could you elaborate a little on that please. Thank you again❤.

The ch 3 alternative is in place of a ch 3, which you can also use if that's easier. Here's a step by step video of the ch 3 alternative kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3OViHptq7d6i68

Just completed this shawl! Love the pattern! I completed mine in Premier Azure and I Love This Yarn Surf's Up which is a complimentary variegated yarn. I alternated each every 5 rows and absolutely love it! Thanks for sharing!

Love this! I love textured shawls. So talented. I love that it changes so it is not the same row repeat. This is going to be my next project. Getting my hooks out and starting now. Thank you so much! ♥️ I start each row with a chn2, then put a doubled crochet in the same beginning stitch and end with a DC2TOG on the end. It is a trick I learned to keep my sides straight. May want to try it some time😉
@ChristaCoDesign2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'll have to try that trick for straight sides.

I like your video I was wondering does it matter what type of yarn I use?? Thanks
@ChristaCoDesign9 ай бұрын
Thank you! You can use any brand and/or fiber yarn (acrylic, cotton, etc) you like, but you want to choose the same weight category which is a #4 medium worsted weight yarn. It's best to make a gauge swatch both to meet gauge and to see how your chosen yarn works up. I hope this helps!
@sharontenteclarke5 ай бұрын
Can you use any kind of Worsted Yarn? I am asking because I have so much yarn already bought. Sharon
@ChristaCoDesign5 ай бұрын
Yes of course, use any worsted weight. For the best results be sure to check gauge using your chosen yarn.

Row 5, chain 3 after turning? It looked like it was the magic double- crochet???
@ChristaCoDesign Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what the magic double crochet is, but I do use a chain 3 alternative (which likely has lots of names) like this christacodesign.com/get-rid-of-the-gaps-the-best-ch-3-alternative/

This is beautiful and I have a ball of cashmere yarn I’d like to use to make this but I’d like work it up from the short side. What is the multiple for the starting chain?
@ChristaCoDesign2 жыл бұрын
Your yarn sounds lovely! The stitch multiple is 4, plus 1.
