I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a kzbin.infoUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

I just love it I was one of the heavy hitters here in the rgv had to stop fishing cause a lot of hate in my area got to the point where people would start looking for me out on the water and would get msg and threats just cause I would not give my areas up honey holes

150lb leader is a beast lol. I use a 60lb leader on 80lb braid line. As long as the drag is right that will catch damn near anything in the river. Where do you buy the 150? I gotta get some of those.

So I bought the same tackle that you’re using and when I cast the rig into the water, I noticed that the slip bobber was completely floating flat sideways on top of the water. Did you use a bobber stopper on top your line because I don’t see how it you can tell when the fish is biting since the bobber just slips through the line?

With gar they will take off and peel drag the bobber is so you know where the fish is. You can use a stopper if you want though. But some gar will let the bait go if they feel any pressure from the bobber or weight.

H20 express pro cat rod from academy and the reel is a penn bait casting reel from Walmart. Too be honest I don’t even use that set up anymore I found better rods and reels.
