That’s a great way for them in between cleanings. I’m from Iowa and I do some washing and detailing on RV’s in the off season at a park N of Tampa. I really recommend having a good full detail done at least once a year. My washes include the roof awnings and sides. I have seen many clean the roofs with high pressure which is a BIG NONO! Everything should be washed with very low pressure and some elbow grease. Most of my customers are elderly people and they never go on their roof. So when I wash their RV I always do a roof inspection for them for free. I check for any damage or any potential problems that may arise, such as how the dicor around vents, pipes, and skylights look. I’ll take photos to show the customer what’s going on. I’m probably one of the very few that does this but the most important part of the RV is the roof. I also recommend having your roof rubber membrane roof conditioned after it has been cleaned. So I know how you said it’s a little expensive having the detail crew come out and clean it but it may save you $ in the long run by having someone on the roof cleaning and checking for potential problems in the future. Like your channel by the way!

Thank you for this content. This is an important process we all need to do our best at. I have struggled with our new trailer. Backing into car washes that are tall you name it. Your experiences and advise is very helpful. My pickup camper sold after 24 years well because I took care of it. Our new trailer will get the same care but is sometimes harder to care for. Thanks for the tips. Take care.

For the dryer sheet use, use them after you have used them in the dryer. Gunk is gone. Sprayway Glass Cleaner and a microfiber cloth works really well as a "dry" wash.

Love the info in this video. It was funny hearing about the live bugs. When I was owner operator, Louisiana completely drained the swamp that you go across on I12 in 2003 I believe. You literally had to stop on either end of the bridge and clean your grill and windshield as the truck started running hot. My red truck turned black with love bugs. Safe travels and keep the vids coming.

I've used the Blue Beacon truck washes. Typically stopping at the last one near my destination. They're great and surprisingly affordable. As for the Wash Wax All, we use that at work for keeping our helicopters looking good. Among other things, it allows us to wash them in the heated hangar, instead of a wet wash outside in the cold. And you can just do the sections that need it.

I second the wash and wax kit. But I do think that the quick extend retract function of the pole can’t be overstated. I looked all over for a pole that worked as well and couldn’t find one. It gets tiresome loosing and tightening a collar on most extendable poles. We have had our kit for over a year and it still works great. High quality set up! Great video

An acid wash works great, but I would only use it on the front of the truck, and the nose front of the trailer. The secret is to not just spray it on and wash it off after using a brush. I do smaller sections, scrub, and rinse. Leave it on for 15 minutes and your paint will look oxidized. We used it in the Bakken and the Class 8's would come in covered in oil from all of the big engines running while fracturing. The stuff we used came from a chemical manufacturer in Utah, and the oil would come right off.

Thank you for the review! We like Blue Beacon -- used the one in Eloy, AZ. Pretty reasonable in our opinion, but can't beat your own hand detailing. We were using the RV Wash/Wax, along with the Protect-All Rubber Roof Treatment. Pretty labor intensive as it took a few days to complete the job on our 30' GD 5ver. The rubber roof treatment was a challenge due to my acrophobic issues and hubby (although a Fireman) had some issues on the roof. We will certainly try that Wash Wax All.

I used two different Blue Beacon stops, one in Salt Lake City $70 and the other in Denton, Texas $60 (DFW Metro Mess) and was pleased both times. I cannot for the life of me figure what the difference in price was but both wash crews did a fine job. We waited for an hour in line at each stop but didn't mind at all, since we're retired we're not in any particular hurry. Blue Beacon definitely will get my business from now on. When I do this work I'm a perfectionists the paint is show car flawless but I understand this was not a requirement for you. Great Informative video. Now I have a tip for you, and others. If you use alcohol, usually IPA, or Iso propyl alcohol, it will strip off the oils and waxes from the paint. I would avoid using denatured as it is too strong and can damage decals. When Ceramic coating, or applying paint protection film, and when polishing paint prior to wax or coating, IPA is used to clean the oils and residue off. Wax it when done!! I have been using dry wash on my ceramic coated F150, two years later still shines like the day I did it. Glad to see there is a kit like this, going to add it to my list. We just got our first 5th wheel and I am in the process of giving it it's first coat of wax. I hand wax the initial layer, and use spray and wash the rest of the time. 3 days so far and I am still not done! $400 is a steal!!! We have an Arctic Wolf 3660SUITE, 43' long.
