Easy RV Shower Reseal with Flex Shot || Replace Moldy Shower Caulk in a Fifth Wheel Shower

The caulk in our RV shower had begun to peel and pull away from the wall after years of use. We used Flex Shot to reseal the shower lining. We first removed the old shower lining with the help of Flex Tape adhesive remover. We then cleaned out the moisture and mold buildup before using Flex Shot to reseal the shower. This was a super easy DIY for RV maintenance. Flex Shot made replacing the caulk in the shower a painless and quick process.

@dawnd9030 gloves are recommended for all their products. I actually think it says that on most other caulking products too, but I have never been a fan of gloves and don't have sensitive skin issues so I usually just roll with it. I do use gloves for aerosols like spray paints etc but I didn't have any issues or reaction with this.

Worst products. Eternabond lasts over 10 years. Flex tape yellows in less then 1 year

@@iair-conditiontheoutsideai3076 We've had Flex Tape that has patched a hole in our siding for 3 plus years, you can barely see it because it is the same color as the rest of our fiberglass siding. Sorry you had a bad experience, but we've been going strong for a while. Also, the particular product in this video is Flex Shot. And to be honest, right now it is way whiter than our shower walls which have somewhat yellowed overtime, so even if it does a bit, we'll be ok! As long as it does it's job were good!

Question.....will flex shot stick to flex seal? I used flex seal in the 32 Oz can on my boat and went to use weather stripping on a rear floor hatch and it didn't wanna stick to the flex seal. Then I bought some caulking and ran a bead around the area and laid the weather stripping on that and then the caulking wouldn't stick. I'm kinda ticked off right now cause I have no ideas on what to use.

We haven't tried it before, but I would think it should. I know that Flex Seal Liquid can be used over flex shot so I would think the flex shot should stick to it the other way around but I can't speak from personal experience of having tried it.

I could be wrong but pretty sure it's not recommended or needed to caulk that area.

It was originally caulked there by the manufacturer and was starting to break away and tear off in parts so moisture was getting in. We didn't want to have mold growing behind the shower walls. So far this is holding up really well. It's not pulling away the way the other caulking was starting to do.
