Easy Scrap Quilt - How to use scraps to make quilt blocks

Did you know it can be simple to make a scrap quilt? In this video you'll learn how to make a simple scrap quilt using quilt templates. These Scrap Crazy 6 Template pieces are easy to use to cut up scraps into usable pieces. You can cut your scraps to make into a scrap quilt today, or you can cut your scraps into these pieces to use later. These are easy scrap quilt blocks that you can put together with just 3 seams. Get the scrappy quilt look without a lot of work when making a scrap quilt with the Scrap Crazy 6 Template set. You won't believe it was that simple to make a scrap quilt!
You can also use these templates to make a non-scrappy quilt. Use the template to sub-cut quilt strips into the pieces needed. The equilateral triangle shape template is great for making a quilt. You can also use the quarter Hexagon templates to make a hexagon quilt without y-seams.

I love these templates! I have the Crazier 8's and have already made 3 quilts with it. Using my round, rotating cutting mat is a game changer when cutting these.

Johnny-Come-Lately to your channel as I may be, I do declare this is the most exciting and interesting template set ever. Where do you find all these cool toys? I especially like the way the set makes the four pieces to a hexagon. It makes me want to design a quilt based on the heptagon. Just exactly how would that come together? Hmm. That one shape that seems a little odd reminded me of an off-center peaked roof, usable in a Houses quilt pattern. Someone should do one of those Houses quilts in honor of the play "Our Town." Thanks so much for bringing us such cool tools and ideas. Also, I will be looking for your mentioned video and another look at the block pattern on the back of the package. Thanks.

I'm so glad you're here and have been thoroughly enjoying your comments and our discussions! To answer your question as to where I find these things ... a little bit of everywhere! In pre-Covid times I'd visit quilt shops wherever we traveled. New quilt shops always have new things! I subscribe to the email newsletter of different shops. I also pay attention to what distributors are coming out with. I recently went on a shop hop where I hit up half a dozen shops in less than two days ... several of the shops were new to me, and I still need to unpack all those goodies!! 🥰 So ... there is more coming! 🥰

You missed the kite shape. It is a common EPP shape that goes with diamonds and hexagons. Put 2 B shapes, long side together.
