I have been watching all your videos no stop lol 😂😂 I definitely improved a lot catching flukes this year. Even though I am not catching keepers but I caught so many shorts from the shore using single jig technique !!! Funny part is I fished majority of the spots on your video but never had a luck in the past 😂😂 Do more videos !! It’s really helpful !!!

Do you ever use scent on your soft plastic jigs. Like Pro-Cure "Flounder Pounder"
@shore-moneyfishing19394 жыл бұрын
Keitech for soft plastics. No pro-cure.
@CookingandFishing4 жыл бұрын
No but some baits like Keitech are impregnated with scent/flavor. If not then I would rub a little pro cure or smelly jelly on there. Just remember it won't have the drawing power of gulp (which is water based).

Thanks to you, I got my own Major Craft LS-600FC (plus the landing arm) and scooped a bunch of nice sized Blue Crabs 20 feet below the pier, which is 35 minutes north from where you are fishing now. Wish I can get the limit of fluke one day. Some people asked me where I get that net XD.

I know your rod carrier is no longer available to buy. Is it made from aluminum or pvc tubing?
@shore-moneyfishing19394 жыл бұрын
PVC

You do a great job with your vids and your advice is right on the money. One more question about the rod holder. Is it just glued together or is there any fasteners underneath? Thanks in advance.
@CookingandFishing4 жыл бұрын
It looks to be just glued and fitted. I know there's some weight in the base to keep it upright. If I were to make one (and I have zero DIY ability), I would make the tubes slightly longer for our 9'6 rods.

would you use the same setup if you are on a boat?

It depends. If you’re fishing over 20’ of water I would size up on my gear.

Nice..... had a couple keepers there the other morning. Incredible how fat some of these fish are coming up! Just wondering - the drag sounds a bit light. Is that just how you typically like to use it? I always worry that a lighter drag would result in a weaker hookset. Not like you seem to have that issue, just curious more than anything
@shore-moneyfishing19394 жыл бұрын
Nice! Confession - I enjoy some drag slip at the hookset if I can get away with it. But I think we'd both agree that you want the tightest drag to punch a heavy gauge hook through a fluke's mouth. Nothing is worse than losing a big fish. With that said, I don't have any issues getting that done with the decoy jigs I use and the awesome load power of the ML Cronos.

Typical Chinese parent comment. My parents looked at me like I had three heads when I explained catch and release and why I go fishing all the time but don’t bring home fish. Was that a slack tide? I never seem to time it right. Always seems like the waters are raging when I go saltwater fishing.
@shore-moneyfishing19394 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I would check out windfinder.com as they're pretty accurate in reporting tidal stages. I think the tide was moving pretty fast on this day.

Dude, you don’t show your jigging technique, you reeling in a fluke is just not interesting after five fish.
