Sometimes with light hair, its harder to see where your lines are so its very important to keep your guidelines clean and sharp. Here's a step by step of how I also THINK about the process. Let me know what ya'll think!

Ok nice content 😅 different approach of teaching I’ve seen and it’s very helpful for beginners to learn because most beginners never even held a clipper and pressing too hard is pointless when the clipper does the trick and awesome way of explaining the technique they have learned and apply your knowledge to it will help them understand what they’re actually doing.❤ it

Yes! I had that exact same thought and was checking the comments to see if anyone had already said that. Maybe it's because I'm tired after a long week but it's soooo peaceful. :-)

360Jeezy, Chris Bossio, South Bay Chris, etc... All great barbers. But I especially enjoy your videos, you tend to show clients of different backgrounds and cut well with all of them. Also you give other info that's just as important as knowing how to cut, which is SO vital. It's not often you see female barbers, especially those that have branded themselves so well. Keep pushing!!

Wow thank you so much Eddie for this message!! I def make it a point to be a versatile barber so your observation makes me feel good about it. I agree, there’s a lot of avenues of barbering that are as important as the haircut and technique. Thank you for your feedback! Means a lot to me 😃💈❤️

Would love to hear and see more about your experience and things being overlooked to better our industry and create more value cause our industry is everything to me I’m seasoned and still remain teachable and our industry is growing fast 😅and I’m looking for a way to give back and support our industry.BLESSINGS and keep it coming 😅.

Ok idk if it was just because I was wearing my AirPods but your voice was incredibly soothing!!! Also I feel like I’m finally starting to understand what I’m talking about it when it comes to fades/tapers especially with the locking detents on the babyliss clippers🙌🏼 but I like what you said at 8:45 tho cause even though in theory I get it I just have to find what works best for the client and that’s where I need to lock in on (just knowing that every head is different) cause I get discouraged seeing a dip or a dark area on the fade even though I consistently did the same steps through out the head... Also I loooove the outro clips!!!
@Staygold31
@Staygold31 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much (: yeah i totally get you. Every single head will be a different challenge and the more u do, it’ll make more sense as you go in how you maneuver through different dark spots (:

Thanks Sofie, you are such an inspiration and a great teacher. I have a client that wants to go from a 4 down to skin, but a very low taper. I use metal blades but do have guards. I have been having a hard time with this cut because there is such little space to do it, and he wants the box shavers to go around his ears. Any recommendations would be great! Or if you have a video please lmk where to find it or what to type in to watch it. Thanks so much! 👏🎉💥

I always had problems fading blind hair! Can u make a video explaining in detail how to choose between giving your cliente a drop fade or a straight across fade ? And also how much more space do you leave in the back of your clientes head in between every guide line

I was wondering if you could make a video on how you connect the sides with the top? The Parietal Section to be exact, I feel like sometimes I struggle to some length and or using some shear work on the top to make the the top look good is what I struggle sometimes.

Hi so idk if this is a dumb question but do you think the pressure of your hand is important? Like heavy handed or light handed?
@Staygold31
@Staygold31 4 жыл бұрын
Not a dumb question at all! It’s actually important and does help. I’m light handed so my line work is not as hard to blend out. Understanding hand pressure helps the blend 💯
@eromero7952
@eromero7952 4 жыл бұрын
@@Staygold31 im heavy handed and think it plays a role in my fades.i feel like I have to work extra to get lines out. Im gonna try to work on my pressure. Thanks for your response ❤️i really value your input😊
