I like talking about job, my family, my cars etc. I also like discussing with my acquaintances plans for the future, vacation plans, housework. To be short, small talks are necessary sometimes especially if you ain't have much time enough for the long conversation. Thanks lots of, Vanessa for the captivating lesson!

Well, basically I like to speak about future plans or topics that I'm interested in, such as traveling, for instance, but I'll definitely ask a person about what he or she prefer to do in his or her free time cuz I think it is crucial to understand another person.

@Daddy Dave I agree that small talk is necessary, and making it less awkward is important.😁
@DaveSmith905594 жыл бұрын
@@SpeakEnglishWithVanessa Yeah! I actually have the same opinion, Vanessa! Small talks make us feeling less tension 'n' responsibility as well, right? And certainly, they're always very useful for every person in real life.

Personally, I would start an interesting small talk by asking my conversation partner this: What keeps you busy outside of your work routine? Yeah I would ask that question even if I don't know the person that well. I'm not a very conversational person but I wouldn't like to be lacking in conversational skills because I think I was born to be a good-quality English speaker and I'd love to, even though I have anything in particular that kind of holds me back from forgetting shyness, fear or embarrassment when putting my English speaking skills into practice while I speak to myself, and it can be even worse when speaking in public which is a scarier scenario. I know I can overcome those kinds of problems over time and it requires a lot of practice, patience and consistency. Thank you so much as always for making me level up my English skills in general dear Vanessa. ❤🥰🌹

Thanks for posting the summary. I would pay a lot of attention to "don't interrogate another person," because sometimes English learners want to ask many questions, but don't share first. Be careful! 🙂

The timbre of the voice is a really strong skill for everything. I think it is more important than the word you use in your questions. When I was in catering, I observed a lot of time the difference between coming in front of the customers with a smooth timbre and an impatient one. You can get your public more casual and relax straightly.
