Thanks for all the views and subs everyone. There’s a world of choice out there when it comes to Brisket Tutorials, so I thank you for choosing to fly with us! Anyone given this a try yet? Keen to hear how you went in the comments. Also keen to hear if anyones applied these steps/temps to a different bbq. Thanks again all, was a lot of work to plan, shoot and edit this but I’m really encouraged by the response 🍻

Great Video Dave, we just took delivery of a Masterbuilt for our social club up here in PNG and used it last weekend, Brisket turned out good but will give your method a crack next week.

Found your channel in my feed due to being an F1 addict. I saw your hybrid vs 1970s formula one car at classic Monza. And now here is my other passion. BBQ. Cheers

Do you use any of the "mods"?
@AussieDaves Жыл бұрын
No bought mods as yet mate. I have always ran it since new with thin foil trays under the grill, but aside from that haven’t had the need to buy mods for it just yet. The LSS stuff does look good hey. Is there any mod you’re looking at in particular?
@TerryBollea1 Жыл бұрын
No. Just seeing if anyone else is being a complete shill about it like the guy on the kelly country family youtube channel. He acts like a gen zer chud even though he looks like hes a gen xer in his 40s.

Have you had any issues with the Masterbuilt?
@AussieDaves Жыл бұрын
Hi Marty, no major issues with it mate, been a really good all-rounder as a bbq/oven. Do get the occasional E-04 error which is simply caused not lighting the fire hard enough - hence I use a blowtorch now! I will say they’re not built to last forever, but mine lives under cover which will help. Also, the firebox can start looking a bit tired, but a lot of that is build-up of carbon etc. There’s plenty of aftermarket kits to upgrade/repair all the bits anyway. I love this style of bbq and recommend it highly.

I’m your comment a year later 😂 aren’t you meant to put the brisket on the actually grill plates? You’ve put it on the resting shelf to cook? Iv just bought one and is wondering
@AussieDaves Жыл бұрын
Better late than never mate! Nah I wouldn’t put a brisket down on the main grill plates, you want nice even and indirect heat for a slow cook. Let us know how you get on!

@@AussieDaves thanks mate! I tried my Masterbuilt today.. tried a few burgers and what not with in direct heat.. when I tried to get the temp up to use direct heat and flame grill it ut wouldn’t go over 200 degrees Celsius? Is that because I would need more coals to produce a higher temp? As I only had the hopper barely a quarter full? Any ideas? I’m worried Iv broken it :( I’m just literally starting from scratch to learn the art of bbq..the difference between smoking indirect heat and direct heat etc.. so hard to find answers I want.. I find it very interesting.. any tips or “musts” you can think of that I should know to help me on my journey with the Masterbuilt? I appreciate you taking the time to reply..I’m from the uk.. thanks. Ryan :)
