Hello :) you can make this pattern with any yarn and matching hook size. I love ricorumi dk yarn and a 3mm hook or Catania sport yarn and a 2.2mm hook or premier parfait chunky and a 5mm hook. These yarns are available in the US but if you’re located elsewhere you can pick any yarn and matching hook size. The pictures in the video are taken of the snowman with catania yarn and 2.2mm hook and the tutorial is shot with a worsted weight yarn and 4mm hook. Hope this helps :)

You can also make a slip knot chain 2 and then start your single stitches into the second chain
