I don't know where I got this tip from (I watched SO MUCH pro makeup tips) but I learned that brow hairs are naturally cool toned which is why chocolate browns, muted reds, and dark grays are ideal for brows

The Asian hooded eyes are actually quite different from white ladys’ hooded eyes, that’s why most of the tutorials for hooded eyes are not applicable for Asian girls. Again, I thank you Hung! We need someone understands makeup to teach us. Really thank you!

@@iwai0703 they are not good tutorials for non-Asian hooded eyes actually. Asian hooded eyes are the easiest because the upper lid skin is much tighter and the outer skin doesn’t tend to fold.

I actually love my hooded eyes because not only do they tone down any eyeshadow or eyeliner automatically (so I can choose bold colors) but they also 'force' me to really go for it and do the eyeshadow much higher in the outer upper corners when I want my smoky eyes to be seen! :)

When I was teenager, a lot of girls at my age paste a scotch tape to get a fake eyelid because we had hooded eyes. I was one of the girls that uncomfortable with this technique, it's like having hooded eyes was unattractive. I watched this video with rapt attention. Hung, your work is exquisite because it, among many things, shows the discipline of simplicity and restraint. I really appreciated that you didn't apply any eyeliner to the model. As someone with hooded eyes that has followed western makeup application tutorials, my eyeliner ends up getting smudged within an hour of applying it. I'm going to try this smokey eye look myself.
