EASY SPAGHETTI WITH BEEF AND MUSHROOM SAUCE
For the meatsauce:
1.2 kilos ground beef
3 cans tomato sauce (600 grams)
1 1/2 c beef broth
2 tbsp tomatoe puree
4 cloves garlic, pressed
2 medium size white onion, chopped
50 g butter
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp paprika powder
1tbsp cayenne powder
2 tbsp dried thyme
salt and pepper
Pasta
Directions:
Saute the onions and garlic with butter and vegetables oil.
Add the ground meat. Cook and breaking it up until the meat is browned.
Add tomato puree. Stir.
Add 1 1/2 c beef broth.
Add mushrooms. Stir.
Add tomato sauce
Add paprika powder, cayenne powder and dried thyme. Stir.
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes and stirring occasionally. Simmering it in a low results into a deep flavours.
Add salt and pepper to taste after the simmer.
Meanwhile, boil the pasta according to the package directions. I usually cook my pasta al dente. When its cooked, drain the liquid and run it quickly with cold water. Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and stir.
I would suggest to sprinkle your spaghetti with parmesan cheese. The cheese adds lots of flavours and its amazing!
