How do you add the trailer hook to the braid? Also, would any type of braided fishing line work for the trailer?

I was thinking you were Canadian but not sure now because you are tying a trailer hook on that fly. I live on Vancouver Island I do a lot of steelhead and salmon fishing were allowed 1 single barbless hook no trailers confused why you are putting it on there

They are Canadian. Based out of Vancouver. He pinches off the front hook, it just isn't shown in the video. You could also just start with a shank and forego the pinching later.
