Do you clean the entire screw on the z-axis or just remove the grease at the bottom? I’ve had a hard time cleaning it without it being a pain.
@3dPrintedSoup5 күн бұрын
I just removed the excess grease at the bottom, the rest in the thread is fine to leave. Cheers for watching :)
@barryward1365Ай бұрын
What about the z axis? Just unboxed and set mine up today and want to look after it for the same reasons you rightly point out.
@3dPrintedSoupАй бұрын
The z axis is a more complicated process I’m going to cover in a few weeks, it’s got a belt drive not rails. Glad you liked the video :)
@Will.LeslieАй бұрын
Might have missed it, but how often do you recommend to lube and grease the printer?
@3dPrintedSoupАй бұрын
The printer will actually remind you to do it every now and again, so no need to worry to much as Bambu labs has you covered on this front :) thanks for watching

I would say once a month at minimum

Great video. But what do you use when you've run out of the oil/grease they provided?
@3dPrintedSoup2 ай бұрын
You can get more from the Bambu labs store. Or just get some 3d printer grease from Amazon
@gcmehojahАй бұрын
Super Lube has grease and oil and it's really good for 3d Printers.

Wiki says I can use WD-40 as a substitute, is that not the case?
@3dPrintedSoupАй бұрын
@@sandrawm_ if you want to try and get a spray can into the the inner workings then you go right ahead, WD40 is great for allot of things but i don't use it on 3D printers myself. Let me know how it goes if you do, I'd be interested to know.

Appreciate you putting this out there. Just got my A1/AMS-Lite combo a few weeks ago and have been looking for a proper maintenance video. This really helped. Incidentally, I see you're using Elegoo filament. I've been interested in trying some of their stuff, but there are no profiles for Elegoo in Bambu Studio. Did you make custom profiles or are you just running a generic Bambu PLA Basic-type profile or something and the Elegoo just works? Thanks again!
@3dPrintedSoup26 күн бұрын
Glad it was useful. I just use generic PLA profiles as matches the elegoo temps ect perfectly. Cheers for watching :)

Did you clean all of the old grease off of the rods? Thanks for this helpful tutorial!
@3dPrintedSoupАй бұрын
Most of the grease had pooled at the bottom of the rails so just wiped the worst off.

How do you control the printer to go up and down on the z-axis? What about oil on x-axis? Thanks!
@3dPrintedSoup2 ай бұрын
Go to control on the main menu, you can then choose the XYZ tab and move the axis from there. As for x-axis, this is an enclosed belt to does not need grease - it may need some kind of maintenance in the future but that’s another video. Thanks for watching

Could someone point me to where I could get some of the non-woven cloth? It's proving a bit tougher than I initially thought.

Non woven cloth is also referred to as “soft cloth” get it from Amazon

Do I need to use oil and greace after purchase or is the printer already lubricated?
@3dPrintedSoup19 күн бұрын
It comes with some applied, depends how well it was done in the factory. Printer will tell you when it’s time to replace the oil and grease. Thanks for watching :)

Anker?
@shescraftdeeh120422 күн бұрын
@@3dPrintedSoup in the begining of the video when you showed what items are needed you said "Ankermade tool kit" which is what they are referring to.
@shescraftdeeh120422 күн бұрын
@@3dPrintedSoup I believe that was a mistake. You can find in makerworld cases to print for the tool kits which is probably where he got it. Just type in Maer World search "A1 tool kit or A1 tool case"

I like the video, but it's a shame your arms/hand is in the way so we can't see where you are applying the oil exactly. I get the idea though.
