I've made all manner of shawls, but you had me at "stays put" and "bamboo"!! I wear your Anuket shawl often, but I'm always aware of it when I do. It's soft, stunningly gorgeous, but also wiggly! BTW, I picked colors on my own for that shawl, and only recognized when they arrived that I'd used the exact colors as in your sample. This is SO neat! I have once made a wedge shaped shawl. It was the first shawl I ever made. I crocheted it holding two strands of cotton lace weight yarn. It was my own pattern. It was double crochets that decreased as it went down. I changed four colors with one strand and one strand staid the same. I made it 12 years ago for my daughter when she was two. I purposely made it big enough to fit me so she could grow into it. It is tattered and well worn but my daughter still has it.❤

The only uniquely shaped shawl I've made is one that was shaped like a wedge, larger on one side and slowly growing smaller to the other end, and the fringe was worked into it in rows as it went along. I LOVE those colors! They have me dreaming of spring on this snowy Cincinnati afternoon.

I quite often pick up my sticks and strings with no idea of what I'm going to do.
