I've had my table saw for a few months now and I'm definitely finding a need for a cross cut sled. I got on KZbin and came directly to your channel, April, and I found this video. I'm not a professional wood worker....just a home handyman and hobbyist, so I don't need a super serious sled (for now, lol). This video is perfect for the cross cut sled and that 45 degree jig will also come in handy. Thanks very much for sharing your videos!!!

Great video! Brains, beauty, and clear explanations of three vital jigs. I've watched other videos that just get way too anal about certain things, and often way too detailed in how they build their jigs. There is something to be said for keeping it simple, and you did a great job of that! I'm just now starting to build up my wood shop and so I need some good jigs. I'm going to build a couple tomorrow. I'm inspired!! Thanks, April.

Hi April, I've been watching your channel for a while now and love it. I have a small shop in my garage (which needs a bit of a sort out).. thanks for the free plans for the table saw jigs, I've been meaning to make something like this for a while and never seemed to get around to it. You have given me the push to get out there and do it! Great to see another woman who loves woodworking as much as I do! Greeting from Canada (Alberta).

Awesome....something straight to the point. Rocket engineering diagrams, or launch codes needed!! Just something simple, that still will give you good results in the end......or, well, where ever you may set a stop block.......for your miter cuts.........on a table saw......

The very last piece of advice "use both fences so that the mitre cuts align" is actually crucial to get perfect results. It is harder to do on a frame though...

I keep throwing together temporary/throw-away jigs and sleds like these just as fast as possible when needed, from the crummiest CDX scrap I have laying around. They last long enough to do the job at hand and then they end up in the scrap pile where they unflattify, warp, twist, de-laminate or otherwise are rendered useless the next time I need them. Partly it's a function of not having any good place to hang them up where they will be safe from damage, but I also figure, "Some day I'll have some time and I'll make really good ones from nice solid materials and I'll equip them with stops, toggle clamps, etc." Some day never seems to arrive. But the ones you've done here are nicely thought out, quick and easy to make, and durable enough to last well until "some day" really does arrive. Seeing as how I am in isolation like everyone else, I just finished a nice storage cabinet to tuck under the right wing of my table saw, and there's plenty of room in it to hold not only the push sticks, tenon maker, and other "good" jigs I've made, but these as well. I think I know what tomorrow's project is going to be.

April, when I acquired a new tablesaw one of the first things I made was a crosscut slide. Since my area is pretty wet, I did not want the tablesaw table to get rusty and made the slide big enough to cover it. 16 or 18 years later, it has worked both as a crosscut slide and as a table protecter.Dave
