Really learned a lot watching this come together. I had forgotten how well ultramarine and burnt sienna work to create such beautiful colors as they come together and separate again on the paper.

Is there a reason why the order or splattering is white first and dark last?

For splattering the sequence is not critical. But for watercolour with mostly lighter tones, one starts with light tones and then finishes with a few darker tones. This is just a guideline however, as there are always exceptions.
