Very few people look for gold in places like I do. It might surprise you how it's been in plain sight all along!

Some of those frames are over $200 each. I run into this stuff all the time at estate sales. People walk past so much good stuff all the time.

I see a guy at a thrift store with somekind of pointed tester, he was testing picture frames so that maybe a source.

If you have never processed e scrap for gold, then you don't know how much work it is and how little gold you actually get. That arcade board would be worth more on ebay than the gold inside, especially if it has rare IC chips on it. (They are not resistors)

I'm smelting silver and gold right now while watching this, I generally get my hands on a mess of old cell phones and remove the gold with muriatic acid and 12% hydrogen peroxide which I could only find at Amazon. It's a fun hobby and keeps me off the streets 😂 Thanks for sharing about the glasses

So are you saying for instance the watch was 12k gold or something because it doesn't attract the magnet? Or could it be gold filled or plated? And same question with the circuit board? That was what kind of gold content?

Thanks for watching my video and thanks for the question! The magnet test is only a quick test that I use in a pinch. The best way to know is with magnification to read the gold stamp or using a gold test kit (which I don’t use). Sometimes I take a picture of the stamp with my phone and zoom in on it to read it. As far as I know nearly every gold piece should be stamped. On the circuit boards it is a very small amount of gold involved and through online research over the years I have learned how to spot it. I haven’t tried a magnet on a circuit board but would guess that since it is bonded to plastic it might not stick regardless.

Not sure about gold on circuit boards, silver for sure. That's the best conductor, gold not so much.

if its gold coloured, then it is gold plated, as for the chips, yes there is little gold, very little paladium and little silver, but if u get enough of them, it all mounts up
