Easy to Follow Brimnes Cabinet with Doors IKEA Tutorial

These steps were SO clear and I greatly appreciate you keeping the orientation static, making it incredibly easy to follow. I bought 2 of these and the following tips made the second cabinet a breeze: 1. If you're going to use a drill, remember to set it to the lowest speed to avoid splitting and other damage. 2. When adjusting the hinges to close door gaps or level the doors, do *NOT* unscrew the screws all the way. 😩 Save yourself the frustration of having to line everything back up again. Unscrew and/or tighten just a touch, then test out where your doors sit each time. 3. Really be mindful when hammering in the backing. Ensure you're hammering into the frame (place closer to outer edges) or else you'll see the nails in the interior of the cabinet. Not a huge deal, you can use the back of the hammer to take them out and reposition.

I made it through everything. I had also considered returning the box and opened, but checked KZbin and here you are! The only thing is, I have a large gap at the bottom between the doors, tried fixing it, but honestly putting doors on with the hinges, was the most difficult part. I tried adjusting, but to no improvement. There is a gap because things just wouldn’t go flush all the way through. I even had to use a mallet that I covered with a cloth. But it’s done thank goodness. These instructions were very good to follow. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve backed up and watched and re-watched, L O L. Thank you and should I ever by Ikea again I know where to come.

I accidentally nailed my back part inside out- so it shows the cardboard when you open the doors- can I reverse without damaging it?

You truly only need to mount this piece if it's sitting on carpet or you have kids/pets that roughhouse. It's very steady and heavy. IKEA got sued for $46m because a dresser tipped and killed a toddler, so take precaution if you need to, but this cabinet would be hard for me to intentional push over as it's sitting on my wood floors.

What is the secret to the fasteners? The majority of them don’t go in because of the screw. What’s up with that? What is the correct placement to screw it in so it’ll actually be flush
