Easy To Follow IKEA Fjallbo TV Bench Tutorial

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to assemble the Fjallbo TV Bench from IKEA. This is an easy to follow tutorial and should help you save some time with assembling this IKEA Fjallbo TV stand. When I was assembling this TV bench, I didn't see any issues with understanding the instructions. The IKEA instructions were pretty clear but if you do run into any problems, this video should help you out.

WOW....I just bought this IKEA tv stand this past weekend. came home tonight after work and thought it would be the usual breeze to assemble but got stuck on the corner pieces, ( I had inverted the sides and couldn't figure what I had done wrong ). I decided to check the tube to see if anyone posted this assembly. I CAN'T believe you actually did..here's a BIG HUG Dude...you just saved this Bro from going crazy. God lawd that was rough. I don't have an electric screwdriver and that took a lot longer. I also wasnt able to screw the middle shelf down as it was really awkward. But I got it done. Thanks for the tutorial.

I found the easiest way to "poke holes" was get a screw driver roughly the same length as the shelf gap, and use the tension to screw it in all in one step.

The height of the top shelf is about 6 and 3/4 inches and the bottom one is about 7 and 1/4 inches. I did a review on this TV bench, if you want to get a better idea

I understand where you're coming from, try to play around with the hinges to make the doors more aligned.

Are the holes there and just punch through it or you actually have to make a hole with that tool? I don’t have that tool which is why I’m concerned. Thanks

Pine is a soft wood so even if you have a really tiny screwdriver, it will work (to make the hole). You can honestly use a pen or any other pointy objects around your house. It's just used for making the screw go into the wood easier. You also don't even have to make the holes but you'll have to apply more pressure when using your screwdriver to screw in the screws.

How did your screws go in so easy???!!! I tried building mine and only got to step 2 because I had to force the screws in that much that the X on top wasnt an x anymore

If that’s happening you’re forcing the screws too much. Use an electric screwdriver and make sure the screw is straight when you start. It should go in easily

the door hinges are killing me, got 1 properly fit but the other 2 is horrible 😵‍💫

My all 3 doors are not fit properly in the space. So there’s uneven gap space between all sides of the door and the frame. Any idea why?

Loosen all the hinges and lift the door to where you want it to be then tighten the hinges. If your doors don’t close there's a very easy fix to this and it's in Steps 22 and 26 of the instruction booklet. If you think the instructions tell you that you have one big magnet connecting to one door then you're wrong. In step 26, you have 3 magnets, 1 for each door. In step 22 you attach 2 silver components to the frame of the TV unit. When you attach those and then attach the magnets to the doors then the magnetism will connect them to each other and your doors close securely.
