Easy to Make Condensed Milk Cake with Acorn Squash #recipe #milkcakerecipe #condensedmilkrecipe
Try this delicious moist milk cake. It is topped with granola and cream cheese.
Ingredients:
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/4 cup grated acorn squash
1 tablespoon grated ginger
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda + 1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 sticks of unsalted butter
Whipping Cream (optional)
3/4 cup whipping cream (store bought)
1/4 cup cream cheese
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon evaporated milk
Mix well then refrigerate while the cake is cooling.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C) and prepare cake pan with butter.
Thoroughly wash acorn squash
Cut open and remove seeds; grate enough for 1 1/4 cup squash
Cream together the sugar & butter
Combine the condensed milk
Add the 3 eggs and beat well
(mixture will curdle slightly)
Add the grated ginger, vanilla extract, acorn squash
Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ground nutmeg
Add the sour cream; stir until combined
Pour the cake mixture into greased pan; smooth the surface
Preheat oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until inserted skewer comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes
Note: Cool completely before adding the whipped cream.
