nice --- Also for anyone learning the tabs: If you wanna end it with the (OH OOOOOoooo Oh), the chords are around a G chord like the first "OH" of OH OOOOoooh oh would be a G on Low E and the OOOOOooooh oh would be the high E and B in the chord shape of G and alternate between the Opened 0 and 3rd on the B. Then for the next OH OOOoooh ohs would walk down the G like 3rd then 2nd then 0pen and then the last is a 3rd on the A all while the rest stays the same for the OOOooooh oh part. Idk if any of this translated but it can be a much more satisfying way to end the tune. The ending "sing along to my stereo" part can be played with the same notes as well just experiment and play around with it.

I will never understand how people quickly switch from regular finger style to then strumming a certain number of strings in the most uncomfortable sequence ever. Chords where you have to block and avoid notes at the same time while only strumming some 😑

I'm a pianist, not a guitarist, but I'm pretty sure it just takes practice to gain muscle memory. My best guess as to how it's done is to alter the arc of the pick so it lifts up at the right time.

If you look very closely when he plays the bottom half of the E chord he is using his thumb to pluck the bottom string, and a downstroke with the index and middle fingers the A and D strings respectively. The easy way to strum the top three strings is to flick down with your middle finger, and up with the index finger. It is much easier to be more accurate this way than it is to move your whole hand.

You can do strumming patterns with just the middle or just the index finger (you can use the ring finger or the pinky if you want to but if you’re not learning flamenco this may be too much) but for some reason they sound better with the middle and index.

The chords are E minor, C, G, and D the whole way through, with a few non chord tones thrown in for the melody. If you make the full shapes of these chords you should notice you can nearly play the whole piece by only moving your pinky.

Oh, how did I forget, there’s a hammer on from the open D string to the E in the C chord, so you’ll also need to move your middle finger once or twice. Also he plays a C and a B on the B string during the C chord, so you’ll have to lift your index finger up for that one. Anyway, you get the picture I hope.

The top would be the highest pitch string, and holding the guitar in playing position the neck to would be to your left, it would be the string closest to your leg, and going further down the lines is 1 string lower. In this video he has a capo on the second fret. So those notes say its the 3rd or 2nd fret, when its actually the 5th or the 4th. Sorry if that got confusing, reply if you need further explanation

It’s easier to read tabs than sheet music. Just google how to read tabs and it should take you 10 mins to understand the basics. But don’t expect to develop sight reading skills in a day. Playing with this ease will easily take a week.
