I've been making eyeglass chains for my mother for years and it's been so frustrating having to keep replacing the ends because the ones I buy end up fraying and falling out within a year. It's ridiculous! Sewing seems to be a lot more reliable than glue so I'm definitely going to try making some like this. It looks promising. Thank you for the idea!

I have had several holders give way and all the beads come bouncing off, or it just broken the connection and I had to buy new connectors. This is not only a clever and resourceful idea but you are an excellent instructor. Your voice is very kind and encouraging! I think I would put a dot of glue before wrapping around the final wrap because I plan to use good beads and I don't want it to come undone long from now.
