Both double and triple bonds get equal priority so we can decide their preference based on the lowest sum rule.

Sir, your video is very informative. I have a doubt for which I came here, please answer it: Q. Which of the following is the correct IUPAC name (A) 1-ethyl-4-methoxy cyclohexane (B) 4-ethyl-1-methoxy cyclohexane? (I think the answer will be “B” because alkoxy is given more priority than alkyl, but sir please clear my doubt)

Here ether acts as principal functional group so IUPAC name ends with largest alkane here it is cyclohexane. Then we should start numbering to cyclohexane where it is attached to methoxy group. In this way, ethyl group gets 4th position. So IUPAC name will be 4-Ethyl-1-methoxy cyclohexane.

There is no specific reason for that but the IUPAC rules were framed such that priority is given to aldehydes over ketones. It is just a nomenclature to label the compounds according to IUPAC but it doesn't mean that aldehydes are superior in chemical properties than ketones.

Amide (-CONH2) is a function group derived from carboxylic acid (-COOH). But still amide group can be substituted with other groups particularly with amine group to produce newer functional groups. For example, an -NH2 group can be added to amide on nitrogen to produce HYDRAZIDE. (-CO-NH-NH2). The same amine group can replace oxygen atom of carbonyl group to produce amidine group. -(C=NH)-NH2. Finally amine group can be added on carbon, producing imide group. -NH-CO-NH- In this way, few of the function groups are derived from amide which differ in the substitution of amine group at different positions.
