@@MariSews I just bought a gathering foot as well. I have never made ruffles that long because I struggle with getting even gathers. If I submit a dress with ruffles you'll know I learned how to use the gathering foot!!!

Thank you so much for being an ambassador for this organization. Every woman has to feel this is a special project. My only regret, for me personally, is I have limited funds and would love to make the larger size dresses which are in greater need. Fabric is still a lot of money on most sites and even a discount doesn't cut it. Is there anyone out there who will do more for this purpose only? Thank you.

Great tips, thank you! Never tried adding ruffle before. Is the ruffle cut as a rectangle? Or do you use your curved ruler to cut it?
