Chucking takes some patience, or at least that was my experience. I have 2 full videos on Mastering the Chuck. You will get it. Just keep at it and it will develop over time.

I do love the tips on chord changes. So in this song to change the index finger first just makes it all so much easier.

I’m new to Uke but love your style of teaching. I never played a string instrument before plus I’m 68 yrs & ready to do this. Thank you Lisa for all you do.

Nice for learning chords. I had no idea where to put chords in the song. When to change chords. I just can’t hear it yet.

I am a visual learner - and so many folks that want to play music are like that, so I try to help as much as I can with visuals.

My thumb wraps around the front of headstock instead of my thumb being in the back Is it ok to play this way?...I don’t see your thumb at all.
@TheUkuleleFool3 жыл бұрын
There are people who are quite accomplished that wrap their thumb around, but.....I don't recommend it. Most people's hands work better when they are in a position of maximum strength, while still being relaxed. Classical musicians are taught this all the time - all string instruments, piano, trumpet, flute - you name it. If you think you can train you thumb to stay near the middle of the back of the neck and keep your hand in an open "C' shape, you will probably be better off.
