Great vid Nick! I been using Camtasia for over 3 years and it is worth every penny. Do not start off with a free or cheap video editor, when you pay a reasonable amount for a tool, you will use it because you made an investment and not a whim purchase. I wish you well, and if you are determined, Camtasia will become a money maker for you!

Have you ever tried Davinci Resolve? I have been using it for 6 months now and getting familiar with it. But it is still way professional than what I am currently. Should I start over the learning curve plus pay 300 USD?

Camtasia is a fantastic tool - I have been using it since .... ahem... a LONG time :) Of course, I'm in education - so it's been my go-to tool for screen demos. I haven't explored it as my main editing tool, but the export feature is also very robust - so you can build elements in Camtasia and bring them into other editing software as well. That said, the improvements since they created their first "studio" version have really made this a great tool. Off the top of my head - I don't "think" it supports 4K, but I'll have to check. Wonderful video - I am grateful for all your KZbin tips and tricks. UPDATE: checked - it does support 4K
@NickNimmin3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the positive words on Camtasia! I’m also glad you’re enjoying the content. Was going to mention that this video was edited in Camtasia so it definitely supports and renders 4K, the canvas size just needs to be set for it. If you have a 4K monitor it will also screen record in 4K instead of needing to scale it up, which makes it that much more crisp.

I'd wondered about screen recording... Not something I'm immediately thinking of doing but you have given a useful insight... As money and internet data is a bit of an issue... I am using Open Shot on computer and You Cut on phone, one big reason I use these.. in particular You Cut.. is that it doesn't eat data... and they seem to do what I need.. Another thing to consider is how heavy the software is on the computer your using.. Staring part for Popcorn... Make regular and not so brief... Here's a thought Nick.. if Popcorn made a video what would it be.. note.. not the human interpretation.. This raises the subject of who is the video for... how successful if serving the audience .. and the ability to balance and detach. I noticed the differences with comments and heading...

Because I present stuff at my computer and need to sync the videos/audio and it would be great to be able to record at the same time.

yes, you should be able to do that. Camtasia does the screen and camera at the same time, you should be able to use other screen recorders like OBS Studio, etc. to capture additional screens and media.

Hi Nick. I've got a question. Does hashtaging own youtube channel nick make any sense or is it pointless? For example my nick is Selfir so should i pust hashtags with this nick under my videos or it wouldn't make any difference? I can see you don't have any hashtags under this video. I'm also wondering why.
@NickNimmin3 жыл бұрын
Common word hashtags probably don't do too much to be helpful. Hashtags create clickable links to pages that list videos using the same hashtag. Using a common hashtag just takes your viewers off your video and sends them to other videos by other creators. If you use a unique hashtag, it can be a way to help people find more of your content, but there is still the danger of having them click off the video too early.
@Selfir1233 жыл бұрын
