I think it is a smart move to use the existing crease of the folder as the spine of the journal cover that the pattern is glued to. I recently tried to make journal covers with manila folders and had trouble with the paper around the fold cracking and buckling when I tried to fold it, even with though I used the scoring tool and board. I have been hoarding lots of patterns, will be using your tutorial soon!

I actually had that pattern back in the day, made the rompers more than once and the dress. Who knew it would become “vintage”. Pretty funny. I love making journals of all kinds, fun to watch you too.
