Hey Lee, did you choose to base the black or did you opt to make your seps with no underbase in order to maintain that same “vintage” opacity for each color on the garment?
@leestuart385 жыл бұрын
I never base black in any circumstance, it doesn't need it
@hotboxprintstudio5 жыл бұрын
Lee Stuart cool. I’ve never based black either. Guess I framed my question wrong... what I meant to say was, if you were to do a different multi color would you have chosen to sep out colors so that they all still had the opportunity to soak directly into the shirt vs on top of another ink layer? That would be how I’d approach it in order to achieve this effect so I was curious. Keep up the great work! ✌🏻

Your a big inspiration to push the envelope and get shit done son!! You Finally got into the allmade!!! That should make up for the plastisol!!!--376u be part of the change. And I see that you dabbled in the interstellar inks/ how was your experience with them especially on the triblends and allmade triblend shirts and what you think of the those Ink on them. I see one gallon not opened and I’m guessing it is either the gold or silver flakes cuz I see a quart of probably slipstream silicone, or puff. Lmk cuz I I just did a run with the holiday shirts on the 100% cotton allmade tees. Some came out pro and some just acceptable. But the allmade shirts are bomb and I hope you stick with them for your clothing line. Best wishes and stay hungry cuz you’re killing it brother. Oh and content alone.. whew.. you work harder than any printer I know when it comes to learning and producing at the same time in such a short time! Keep on keeping on! I look forward to seeing your progress explode you conglomerate!! Nough said.
@leestuart385 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot dude. I've used that interstellar stuff twice now and it's ok. Honestly I'm not a big fan of waterbased inks because of how difficult they make my job and they're also not the eco friendly solution that they're marketed to be.

As always, enjoy your work & vids! With the additives, how many seconds on the flash? What temp did you dry your shirts? Those triblends are tricky to keep from scorching. Thanks man, keep up the good work💪🏽!
@leestuart384 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Just a few seconds under the flash since the ink is so thin, it's really just to dry it up a bit so I don't pick up ink on the back of the screen and change the tone when I hit it with the second color. Other than that they cure at the same temp and time as anything else. Triblends look like they're scorching sometimes but actually aren't. It's the atmospheric moisture so with certain colors they come out weird looking because that moisture is evaporated, but after about 30 mins they go back to normal. Red is notorious for this

You stated about using plenty of pressure or good amount of pressure with the ink. Plenty of pressure for Shaq ( 7' 1" 323 lbs ) would be far different that 4' 8" Olympic gymnast, Simone Biles would use. If you were at the gym and doing some tricep extensions or ??, what would the weight amount be. Nobody ever mentions the estimated pressure that they place on the screens no matter what inks/screens they are using for the application they are doing. Everyone always says the same thing. Make sure you have plenty of pressure. Do you use maybe about 10-15 or 15-20 pounds of pressure on the screens for these tee's.
