With a small diaphragm condenser set up behind the fiddle, in line with the instrument's side and 12-15 inches away. There's a warmer sound there, with much reduced scratches and squeaks - fiddlers really like that!

We liked the scratches 🥰 But of course there are so many possibilities in music and you can do things in a lot of different ways, according to taste :) We really appreciate when you share your opinions and feedback! So much inspiration!

@tboneaudio You might... But with their ears so close to the scratching and squeaking action, fiddlers tend to be very uptight about that aspect of their playing. I'm not immune to this myself!
