Hello all! Today I have a fun watercolor video for you! I played with Arteza Watercolor Markers and created four different smooshed backgrounds. I also used some new dies from Simon Says Stamp. :)
I used four different approaches for the watercolor backgrounds. Be sure to watch the video for details. To finish off the card, I used the new Hello Beautiful Gorgeous and Modern Flower Card Wrap dies from Simon Says Stamp.

I tried this technique, and I think that spraying water on the paper as well helps the colours spread and mix better :)

Kristina, thank you one of my New Years Resolutions is to create more backgrounds for my cards and therefore learn more crafting skills. I, do find it very difficult to let go when it comes to media I do not have much control over but I am glad to say that you have inspired me to have a go at water colour marker smooshing, as I felt that I could cope with this technique. I want to be able to do as you designers do and create these outstanding backgrounds. Is there a type of colour code as to what colours NOT to use together Kristina? :O)

Douna Ge, I suggest that using the wedding colors, maybe with a metallic addition or spritz, for the background & adding the white card wrap would make a great wedding card. You might go so far as to make the wrap & card base the color of the bride's dress, if she's wearing ivory or cream or another of the 5 zillion "almost white" colors available. Craft On!

Is it watercolor paper that you use? Or any kind can be used?

No, I used Bristol paper. Watercolor markers like these work best on Bristol paper.
