I am a newbie to the wonderful world of art. I was looking to see if I could use acrylic paint as watercolor. I found your video you answered my question. It looks fun. I love your enthusiasm. I appreciate that you didn't fast forward through your video. And not playing some annoying music in the background like so many KZbin tutorials do. I subscribed to your channel looking forward to watching more of your creativity. ❤🎨💃

All of them look cool and I love the permanence of the acrylic but the ability to achieve a watercolour look xx

I know! It is perfect isn't it?! You get that lovely watercolour look and you can layer to your heart's content!

I love the straw technique. Have used it with alcohol inks and bubble paintings. It produces a nice 'spidery' look.

Thank you for the wonderful video, ditto what others have said! I'm brand new to watercolor and was thinking to try something like this on canvas for an acrylic painting...not sure it it'd work yet..

Hey Suz, welcome onboard and thank you for watching. These techniques work better on paper as using acrylics like watercolour can weaken the ability of the acrylics to stick to things. So if you do use it on canvas you might find that the colour lifts off more easily than you are use to if you try to layer over the top. But I usually say with these things try it and see if it fits with your creative process, just keep this in mind if you do try it, you might have to work round it or find a why to use it to your advantage!
