Hello, i was studying for the ecricome tremplin test, and for the tage mage, knowing prime number is an important part. So i used this method to memorize, and got a good enough score to get accepted in the school I wanted. Thank you.

It's easy to memorize prime numbers between 1 to 1000(168 total). I did it in 3 days. I just associated them with funny stories. I made codes for each number. 1 is l, 2 is n, 3 is m, 4 is r, 5 is p, 6 is b, 7 is f, 8 is t, 9 is g, and 0 is s.
@willek13353 жыл бұрын
Explain the codes a bit further. How does the letters of the alphabet correspond to a funny story?

@@willek1335 1 is love, 2 is Noah, 3 is mic, 4 is radio, 5 is pie, 6 is bike, 7, is fox, 9 is guy, 8 is toe, 10 is leis,11, liliy, 12 is lion, 13 is lame, etc... Just make ridiculous association between these numbers and it will stick to your brain.

Perhaps an interesting question to ask & answer is why are prime numbers and composite numbers important/useful in mathematics? So how & why does learning them help?

@@vaishaliagnihotri7025 this is a intersting question by @chris. Do we know the answer?
@mattaparthisairamarjun3232 жыл бұрын
because when we do prime factorisation,if you get a prime number at the end...we need not continue the factorisation if you know primes....but if you don"t know you further need to calculate if it is a prime or not
@sharonjuniorchess2 жыл бұрын
@@mattaparthisairamarjun323 Nice answer but it gets harder as the numbers get bigger. A good start (to narrow down all the prime numbers that you have to test your number with) is limited by the square root of that number. So to find all the prime numbers up to 100 I only need to look at all the prime number multiples up to 10 i.e. 2, 3, 5, & 7 to find out if a number is prime or composite. But what happens if my number is 1,111,111,111,111,111,111 (19 ones)? This was a famous problem posed by Henry Dudeney who wrote mathematical puzzle books before calculators & computers. It took him a year to solve. All you have to do to get started is work out what the square root of this number is (but without a calculator).

Question: *Why starting prime number is 2, why not 1?* Answer : One has only one factor, 1=1*1, factor is 1 only. A number must have exactly two factors to be prime, so 1is not a prime number. 2=1*2 or 2*1, have factors 1 and 2, exactly two factors, so it is prime. Enjoy maths, u will fall in 💕 with it ⁉️

That is how Eratosthenes first did it in the third century BC. That is why they called it the 'sieve of Eratosthenes' because it shakes out all the numbers that are multiples of previous prime numbers (which you don't want) leaving you with just the prime numbers.
