Brings back a lot of memories from fishing in Arkansas! They absolutely love green grasshoppers too, used to catch them in the hay fields and fish them in the creeks! Don’t use brown grasshoppers, but they love the little green ones! Thanks for sharing!

Chris when you catching bream for bait use a one thirty second jig hook like for crappy jigs and this old 20 year guide promises you ,,,,they will not swallow the hook ,,,the lead ball gets catch on their lip

Most fish flare their gills and intake the whole bait. Fish don't actually bite a lure.
