Thank you for this! I was able to get both wheels out fairly easily with these instructions and was able to give them a nice wash and take out a bunch of jammed up hair!!!

Thanks for the video. Very useful. I have Roomba e6 and the steps are the same. My wheels were harder to pull out, maybe because it was the first time, but with some “love” they came out.

Great video - could you give me some tips on how to remove the tiny screw on the inside of the wheel assemblies towards the center? I’ve gotten the outside screw out, the inside screw is loose but I cannot get it out. Help

Thanks for the tutorial, it worked! Although not as easy as shown in the video for my iRobot due to the wheels were removed for the first time and so much hair was stuck inside

Thank you. 980 worked similarly though screws were bit hard to reach.

This was helpful. I’m exploring your page, and maybe I just haven’t found it yet, but it would be SUPER HELPFUL to have a video showing specifically how to clean dried… perhaps dog vomit? From all of the parts. Not that this is the situation I’m in, just making a recommendation for your future videos. 😂

lol problem is, I usually turn those vacuums away. I just can’t handle the odor 🤮

@@richardsvacuumcenter lol, then maybe a video on how specifically (like with what?) to clean if you have dried messes? Alcohol, etc? 😁

I wouldn't say unscrewing 50 different screws is an easy way of doing anything.

thank you for the video it helped out a lot. I wasn’t using enough strength so I said screw it let’s not be careful and just do it the way you did it and pried it aggressively.

How to get rid of error 26 ? Can you share some tips, ? Thanks

much easier than disassembling the gearbox to remove the wheel. I have a video idea- I have a Roomba 960 and it has banged its little IR sensor eye that sits above the front impact sensor into my refrigerator door so many times that it is now wobbly and will no longer dock itself with the charger as I suppose it can no longer find it. it just pushes it around until the battery dies lol

Thank you. Coherent presentation. I can’t get the side brush unscrewed.
@richardsvacuumcenter9 ай бұрын
Are you keeping the side brush from spinning while unscrewing?
@richardsvacuumcenter9 ай бұрын
Try lifting up the brush while you’re unscrewing. The screw could be stripped and it’s not wanting to lift out

Roomba 614 not charging. Cleaned the contact, still not charging. green light stays lit for a min then goes out. took it apart. cleaned dust with water soap and toothbrush, plastic parts are like new. the battery is at 0 volts... The battery may need replacement......... ANOTHER question..... The cleaning box has a motor and 2 brushes. There is a 1/8 inch red sticker. Under this sticker there is a plastic "wire" or "needle", flexible, with a small ball-anchor. The anchor remains in the socket under the red sticker, and the plastic "needle" follows a channel in the pulley on the motor. The motor appears to be freely swinging in its socket along its rotor-axle. As the motor turns left-right, the pulley moves. There is a small hole at the end of the pulley channel, where the plastic "needle" appears to enter. This element does not appear to be sold separately. I think I need a replacement of this "needle" How long is this "needle"? What is the purpose? I think I can use weed-eater string or fishing line, they come at different diameters. I can improvise. Any idea?

Try new battery first.
@west_park79933 ай бұрын
@@richardsvacuumcenter thank you. seems the battery is ok. but the question about the little string in the brush box remains. it is 1.5 inch 38 mm long, 3/128 or 0.6 mm thick and has a metal ball at one end. I found this thing because I took apart the gray and the black shells of the clean box. It seems that it lays in the groove of the pulley. i put it together, and it works, and I wonder, what is it function?

One wheel was spinning freely, the other wouldn't move much. I did this and both were jammed with collie fur. Got them cleaned out, but when I pressed the wheel back together neither one will move now.
@richardsvacuumcenter7 ай бұрын
You have to press pretty firmly in order to get the gears to align back. It takes me quite a bit of strength to press them back in. Perhaps that is your issue.

Anyone have any tricks if you can't pry the wheel off w/ screwdrivers? I'm afraid of breaking the plastic housing. Not sure how hair can get in there, but I can't get it off. 🤔
@richardsvacuumcenter9 ай бұрын
That plastic has never broken on me so you can pry hard if necessary. Or not and you can just buy a whole new wheel assembly from iRobot. They sell the modules for somewhere around $30-40
