Nice. This is actually the right way to go. Drawing the shadows first then add the details later.

Thanks Chris, I love your style, being self taught I stumbled on the trick of using my finger to rub in certain parts of my drawn faces and hair and your lesson has certainly confirmed I was on the right track. My drawings of Bob Marley, Elvis Presley and others turned out the way I hoped and I have just picked up some tips from your lessons, so thanks very much. Aaron from Australia.

Hey, just saying, you r really good at drawing realistic stuff. Wonder if you're gd at drawing Manga? Because I think that might appeal to more people (also because I draw manga, but realistic drawing intrigues me, kinda) if so, could you do a vid on manga art? I think you'll do well since you can pull off realistic drawings and copying so easily. Or you could do a tutorial of how to copy better, because mine copying skills suck. If not, still, thx for helping me with drawing braids :p

Hi Chris, how you draw curly hair?
@ameershehzad10808 жыл бұрын
I'm not Chris, but I think this should work quite well. You start from the top doing the front layer of curls, leaving a spot for a highlight and shade like so. Then start doing the back layer of curls. Remember, keep it natural. Do the highlight like shown in the video, and finish by doing some extra shading around the bottom. I hope this helped!
