Richard, I bet I am not the only one who would love to see you do a catch, clean and cook episode...a collaboration between you and Mama Sue!
@jayludvigh6958 Жыл бұрын
99 out of 100 crappie fishermen would have gone home with half of what you caught. You say it was easy, but the adjustments you made and your skill in presentation are what let you fill the cooler. You are a great teacher.

Na u gotta have a open mind can't expect to go catch one way same jig every time and when u been doing it long as RGTFM has they can run but they cant hide its called TOW (time on water) most important thing

Yes, even the way Richard was casting that jig underneath the dock takes skill to do. I have found that Crappie are right near each other under that shade of a dock. Richard makes it look easy! Now...the only time I caught 20 was on minnows, and my brother found a raft, went to the tree in the water, and put the bobber with a minnow on it in a 2'x2" area under that shade of the tree in the water....they didn't seem to be anyplace else. I tried jigging for crappie when younger, my expert dad caught 8 and none of us caught any, so there is learned skill here!

Indeed true. If your presentation doesn't work keep adjusting. If after adjusting and no bites no more than 3 to 4 casts in a spot max. There's no point fishing a dead zone. Yes like me as a shore fisherman there will be days you cover tons of water and you get skunked it happens. I have no room or way to transport a boat so I fish from the shore

Hey RG many of your fans don't have boats and need to fish on top of the docks. Do you ever do any sideshooting into these same openings? I think many would really appreciate you showing them how. I do it all the time even tho I have fishing toon, as it is so much easier and fun. simply walking out to a dock with your bucket and rod/tackle and doing some serious ketchn. Plus I ketch bigger fish that way than those who are fishing on outside of the dock.

Bobby garland baits has some competition. If Richard gene is using zman I will too.
@stephensmith3745 Жыл бұрын
Garland bait’s biggest problem is the tail not staying straight the z man stays straight no matter what the baller z is a killer but it has the garland shape that’s the best ever made imo

Hey Richard, Eddie here. Care to give some tips for cold water fishing for bass? its mid 30s up here in WA state. We get up to low 50s temps right now and the bites been so slow these days

What parts ate you fishing? I typically go to the lower end of neely henry are you saying you prefer the high end? They drained them i think starting 2 weeks ago for maintenance and some other stuff was happening. I always had the opinion tbe lower end was better to fish this time of year?

If I could, I would like to pass on a tip. From an ol' lake Erie perch fisherman. 2/3 ice 1/3 lake water in cooler. Your catch will immerse into the ice. All fish will be on ice not just the ones on the bottom. God's goodness to each of y'all 🙏

Go out and do exactly what he says but remember a 30 minute video probably takes him all day to make in a body of water he has enough hours to have a master's degree invested in. Also your water is going to be different than his which means you gotta do what he says exactly but different. I fish for the joy of fishing. Nothing more😅

Only logic I can think of why sertain colors get hit agressive is this. It stands out to the fish. Having a quality attractant like a crappie cocktail, trophy trout, and nightcrawler by procure helps immensely. 😊 not to meantion trophy bass 😊
