I couldn't go back and edit my post so I wanted to put this in here. I make up a very big batch just like you but I put five days worth in a plastic bowl with a lid and keep it in the fridge. I'll keep the rest of it frozen in the freezer until I need some more. About five days is as long as you want to keep it without freezing it or it starts to get a pretty strong smell. This is also good food for anemones and filter feeders like clams and your corals will love it too

I've been making my own food for over a year almost exactly the way you make it with one exception I use fresh clams and fresh oysters and I also use the juice out of them. My fish are fat and healthy. I also feed them sheets of dry seaweed And fish flakes and live mysis shrimp. They definitely need a variety of food and mine love it

Great video! Thanks for showing us how you prepare your food. I also use a vacuum sealer when I seal my food because of the air in the bag that will create icing on the food while in the freezer and will prevent oxidation. I also use Brightwell Vitamarin M when I feed with pellet food.

@@SimpleAquariumsLauren 😂👍 With so valuable food no one expects it! What would she have said if you would have said something like ...yeah, you’re so right! The best ingredients are just good enough!... for a cannibalistic feast! 😁

Hi Lauren. Have you or any of your followers had any problems feeding dead fresh shrimp to your fish and then adding live shrimp to the tank? Will a diet of shrimp cause your fish to get a taste for live shrimp in the aquarium??
@SimpleAquariumsLauren3 жыл бұрын
Good question! From what I’ve read it shouldn’t be an issue. 😊 can always leave it out if concerned. 🙌👌
