What he says about rain water harvest is absolutely correct. Rain water Harvest structure should reach the ground water area then only rain water can be stored.Extraction by Paddy cultivation is very high during summer should be avoided. Farmers can go for other crops which requires less water. All ponds, lakes should be desired. And taking sand should be avoided which are the main source of ground water.

I'm not sure how many people would have known, there were lakes around at OMR from karapakkam to Thiruporur until 2008, had been vanished in the name of IT highway.. there is no waterway built to save instead, could be one of the main cause that our Chennai became dry land. of course, we need development and employment but shouldn't ruin our lives.
