I thing like home made biscuits!! What you put on it doesn’t even matter. Butter, gravy, honey, jam. So glad hubby likes them enough to make them for me!

I made these last night as I had some whipped cream I needed to use up anyhow and they are awesome. One trick/ technique I like to do with biscuits is flatten the dough and fold it over on itself in thirds. You'll end up with a rectangle shape. I do that a few times. I cut mine into triangles like scones. I got 8 but they were a bit big really. Will make them again I am sure of it. Thanks for sharing. Simple and delicious

I was just thinking there's no butter or shortening, but I guess with the heavy cream it has plenty of fat. Sounds delicious. I made buttermilk bisquits last night, going to have to try these.

Bread is more intimidating than biscuits or cornbread is easy as well! Yeast bread is not hard to do but has more steps.

I was making cat head biscuits with my grandmother when I was 6 years old. Then I went home and my mother let me practice alone in the kitchen because she knew my dad would love hot biscuits! Me and dad enjoyed hot biscuits with butter and molasses and my mother thought we would disgusting! :-)

Now I always use self-rising flour for this recipe. So you're basically making homemade self-rising flour. :-)

What would happen if you used regular milk instead of whipping cream
@whiskeywomanwhisks3 жыл бұрын
You would then need butter--the heavy cream has that higher fat

I’ve tried and tried to make homemade biscuits but the final product was not edible, if dropped on my foot it would break my toes! My grandma made the best biscuits but I couldn’t make them no matter how hard I tried. She got homemade butter from a lady who had a cow and the combo was the bomb. I’ll give this a try, they look amazing. Anything with heavy cream has to be good, right ? I think it’s state law somewhere, lol. I’ve got some blackberry jam I made about 6 months ago that are screaming for homemade biscuits. Thanks Leisa.

Biscuits don't like to be handled in traditional recipes. Only mix until mixed, turn out, and then cut.
@karenhogue84433 жыл бұрын
@@teresas.3979 I struggled with that for so long, my biscuits tasted good but were either crumbly or hockey pucks. :) Now I use a recipe for a wetter dough and incorporate a bit more flour while folding the dough on itself several times.

I want an ugly chicken t-shirt so very badly!! As soon as the rest of my inheritance comes through and it should be quick this time that's the first thing I'm going to buy an ugly chicken t-shirt and a set of biscuit cutters. My Dad loved homemade donuts and he would buy me the ingredients and one winter he brought me a set of copper biscuit cutters like you have. I am sure they cost him a pretty penny but as a daddy's girl nothing was too good for me! The last time I remember seeing them was 1997 when he gave them to me and I have no idea where they went after that. I did make him donuts but I don't have the colors anymore I don't have much of anything from my parents because I had caregivers with sticky fingers including all of my gold jewelry my ruby ring a lot of stuff because I could only wear gold all my necklaces all my bracelets! And the girl was in my state from New Hampshire because she had done the same to an old man in a wheelchair and was on the run nobody ever found her but a flat and I'm sure she pawned my stuff. I smoked back then she even stole all my cottons of cigarettes that I got from overseas and my father's bottle of Jack Daniels that my mother gave me after he passed away she wiped me out! That was quite a long time ago. Yes I rambled I'm sorry folks!
