Looks good. I think the slope needs to be a little shallower, I think it's too steep for the Pizza to slide on to it.

Okay... I had to Google pizza peel, only to learn that I wasn't supposed to burn my fingers every time I took a pizza out of the oven. Who would have guessed? 😅 The finished product looks great! As to hand planes, I have no idea! I follow a creator who does everything with hand tools, but nothing I do with a plane even resembles what I see (in spite of all of my efforts to tune and sharpen them). So I think the right choice looks a lot like a sanding disc!

A sanding disc would be good for sure, or an angle grinder 😂 I agree that hand planes sure take a while to learn!

Nope the walrus oil and wax are both food safe making it an ideal choice for a pizza peel or any cutting board :)

Guess the algorithm works 😂 how big was your original peel? I was wondering what size would work best for most?

@@standishwoodstory The one i had was 14 inches, but my oven is only 12 inches wide, so will try to make one that fits in, I want a large thin base pizza, I have a smaller peel but it makes a smaller thicker pizza so the search continues.
